Romeo is a 4-year-old Mini Poodle who is slowly learning what it means to be a cherished companion. He’s a sweet, shy, and gentle boy who needs a patient home to help him build confidence. 💙 🏡 About Romeo: ✔️ Best with calmer dogs (but doesn’t require a dog pal) ✔️ Avoids cats ✔️ Good with kids over 6 ✔️ Crate trained & shares toys nicely ✔️ Not food motivated & not a chewer ✔️ Energy level: 2/5 – calm and easygoing ✔️ Still working on housetraining & leash skills ✔️ Rides well in the car Romeo is very curious about everything in the house but still unsure how to fully embrace human affection. He wants love—he just needs time to figure out how to ask for it. 💕 He’s happiest snuggling in a lap and observing his surroundings. NOTES FROM HIS FOSTER: Romeo is very sweet. He allows humans to do whatever needed. He wants affection but isn't sure how to go about it. He is shy but sweet. Calm. Very gentle and submissive. Romeo likes other dogs but is also okay being on his own. He likes to sleep on laps and is very curious about everything in the house. Romeo will require quite a bit of patience as he builds confidence. It's clear that he hasn't had a lot of human interaction. Romeo is very curious about new people and anxiously watches them but is unsure how to approach. He will hide if allowed then slowly he will come out to investigate. His ideal home? A calm and patient family, preferably with another confident, but not overly energetic, dog to help him learn the ropes. If you're looking for a gentle, low-key companion who will blossom with love and patience, Romeo is your guy!
