Story
Say hello to sweet Candy Bar! Candy Bar is one of a litter of eight puppies, born to mama Skittles on October 1, 2024. Six of the puppies have been adopted and Candy Bar and one of his brothers are still waiting for their forever families to find them. Candy Bar weighs 10 pounds and is a mix of 17 different breeds, with the most prevalent being Poodle (30%), Chihuahua (29%) and Shih-Tzu and Min-Pin (5% each).  Candy Bar is already a pro with the photo shoots (Instagram star, anyone?!) and is very focused on getting love and attention from his human pals. He is high-energy, playful, and always up for a zoom around the play yard.  Puppies are adorable fluff balls, full of cuddles, kisses, and mischief... BUT, please make sure you are ready for the commitment of adopting a young dog. Puppies become adult dogs and are meant to be loved for their whole life, not just until they grow up. Puppies will need lots of patience to help them learn their best doggy manners, leash-training, and house-training. Adoption fees are $500 per puppy and include vaccinations, microchip, and eventual spay/neuter surgery at the PAWS clinic on Cave Creek Road in Phoenix. Per our vet, we do not alter puppies until around five months, which helps with hormone development and bone growth. Adopters will sign a contract that you will bring the puppies to the PAWS clinic for spay/neuter surgery, sometime in March 2025. Please contact Constance (connibouchard@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Rescued dogBiography Important Information Please read! If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children and we do not know how they will react. Hi! My name is Spiderman, and I am a beautiful Poodle boy who Is 5 years old, and I weigh 11 pounds. I am very sweet and social and absolutely love other small dogs. I come up for pets, wagging my tail in delight. I love treats and take them very gently. I am perfect for dog baths and grooming. I am just happiest little guy, ready for my furever family.  If you have been waiting for a little Poodle boy, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org.
