Story
Introducing Miss Poppy! Poppy joined the rescue a few weeks ago coming from a shelter in Milwaukee. She’s doing great in her foster home and is now ready for adoption!    Poppy is a 1 year old Pug mix. She loves to be held, carried and loved on as much as possible. She is shy at first and takes some time to get comfortable with people (men in particular) but, when she does, she is a cuddle bug . Poppy loves to give kisses to humans and dog friends alike! She plays well with small dogs but can get territorial with humans and their attention. She hasn’t been around big dogs since being her in foster home. She is quite the athlete as well, who can run around like a mad woman one minute then curl up and snooze the next. She loves toys and, being only one, does tend to get into things she maybe shouldn’t.  She’s doing great with potty training and loves being called a good girl. . She’s also done well with cats.     Poppy sneezes often and, with the pug face, can reverse sneeze quite often but calms down quickly with some encouragement and rubs (She LOVES a belly rub!!) Poppy does well on a leash and on car rides. She also sleeps well through the night in bed and loves to cuddle! She tends to cry when you kennel her initially but does well when left.
