At 2 years old and around 25 pounds, Forest is the perfect “I fit anywhere” size — couch? Yes. Car seat? Absolutely. Your lap even when you just sat down with hot coffee? Oh, 100%. He is a very energetic dog. Loves being outdoors especially in the summer. Loves walks, hiking, and car rides. Hates the water lol. He is a barker, thats the beagle in him. Very lovable. Ive had him since he was 9 weeks old. He is 3.5yrs old. He loves kids. My 6yr old nephew is his favorite pal. Completely house trained. Knows a few tricks. Listens well. Definitely want a home for him that loves dogs.

CORI Female 8 years Attributes Adult home only preferred Single dog home Dog friendly Good w/cats Requires a fence Housetrained Good in cars Cori is a sweet beagle girl with an adorable underbite. She was obviously very much loved in her previous home, but sadly, her mom passed away. Now, at 8 years old, Cori is looking for a forever home where she can be spoiled again. An adult-only home where she can have ample time to settle in would be best for Cori. She would prefer a quiet lifestyle (no cities or busy neighborhoods for Cori) and would like to be the only dog in the household. That being said, Cori enjoys her visits to doggy daycare where she can socialize with other dogs. Cori also does well with cats. Cori will thrive in a home where she has a regular routine and will be walked daily so her beagle nose can be used to its fullest potential. She’s house trained, but she doesn’t potty on leash, so a fenced yard is a must. Car rides with Cori are a breeze – she’s the perfect passenger when it’s time to hit the road! Because Cori was displaying some behavior that we wanted to better understand, we sent her to a certified professional dog trainer. Cori was already on medication for general anxiety, and she underwent thorough behavioral and medical evaluations to determine if there was something else that was affecting her behavior. We discovered that Cori’s underbite was causing a lot of jaw pain, and her discomfort was affecting how she interacted with the world. Since starting daily anti-inflammatory medication, Cori has bloomed beautifully. According to her trainer, she now has a good appetite and is a “total foodie.” Her confidence has increased, she’s more playful and more at ease meeting new people, and she has learned to ignore distractions while she’s on leash. DAKOTA 8 years Attributes Dog friendly Medium energy Good in cars Good with children Good in apartments Housetrained Potties on leash Dashingly handsome Dakota is affectionately described by his foster mom as “the best big smushy love bug!” At 8 ½ years old, Dakota has a moderate energy level, but he’s been known to go into zoomie mode when he’s in a playful mood. He enjoys a good game of fetch and appreciates the creature comforts of snuggling with his people, enjoying his toys and curling up at bedtime in his dog bed tucked in under his blankets. Dakota would like a home where his people are home at least half of the time so he can have as much attention as possible. At 37 pounds, Dakota is working on getting back into shape; he’s already lost 4 ½ pounds, and he has 5 more to go. His new family will need to ensure he has a balanced diet and will need to take him on regular walks, which should be easy as he walks well on leash. He also rides well in the car, so trips to the park with Dakota for extra walks and exercise will be a breeze. If it’s raining and Dakota needs to go outside (he’s housetrained with just the occasional accident), a raincoat is a must as he definitely does not like the rain! Dakota also has allergies and takes Apoquel to keep them under control. Dakota is quite a sociable fellow. He enjoys spending time with his people and is fantastic with children – he will sit with them for hours and let them pet him. He likes the company of other dogs and would do equally well as an only dog or in a home with canine siblings. For a beagle, Dakota is pretty quiet, although he doesn’t hesitate to let you know when it’s time to eat! He also barks as a greeting when he first meets new dogs and people just to show them how excited he is to make their acquaintance. Story
Ace (and his brother, Milo) are looking for forever homes having been surrendered after the death of their owner. Ace and Milo are currently residing at the Long Run Pet Hospital in Wheeling, WV.  Ace and Milo are 2-years old and are beagle/bulldog mixes, known as "Beabulls." The breed is known as active, playful and great companions and family dogs for active households. They are the quintessential beagle mix with happy personalities and attentive tails showing enthusiasm. Both dogs are very energetic, curious and do well on a leash. The love attention and return it with big smiles.  Ace is a sturdy boys that would make a great companion for someone or a family that will commit to not only giving him lots of playtime but also loves to snuggle and go for long walks for "all the sniffs!" He will benefit from  basic obedience classes to teach him good manners. He should do well with a dog of his size and playstyle but is far too energetic for cats and toddlers. Old, dog-savvy children may very well enjoy this beautiful boy as a snuggle buddy. Ace's soft, floppy ears and doggy smile are guaranteed to bring joy and laughter into your life.
