Meet Daisy. This sweet girl is about seven years old and has unrepairable dry eye that is so bad, she has to have both eyes removed. This will leave her blind, although we imagine she’s blind already at this point. Please consider fostering or adopting this sweet baby. Blind dogs adapt very very easily. We need to find her a foster or adopter because at the rescue there are too many other dogs that would interfere with her getting the lay of the land on her own. A great home or foster home would be one that might have one or two other calm, quiet dogs that could help her find her navigation skills. She’s extremely sweet and friendly. You can handle her. She was poked with needles for her intake medical and her butt was wiggling the whole time. She is super sweet. She is a little chunky; she should probably be between 15-16 lbs., but she is so sweet and loving. She just wants to be held in your arms and cuddled like a little baby. Can you please help? Story
This cool guy is really hoping you don’t pass him by…. If you are looking for a labby boy without the labby size Benedict may just be your guy. At just under a year old this pup weighs 25 lbs and probably won’t exceed 35lb when he fills out. His lengthy legs and slender body are petite, but he does have that characteristically cute labby face. As far as we know Benedict has been a stray his entire life. The evidence of this can be seen through the scars that mark his face. Benedict is a highly submissive pup so we can only assime another animal took advantage of that. It did take him a minute to adjust to the luxuries of a foster home, but he has settled in wonderfully. This boy will still need help mastering his basic skills of house, crate and leash training but in the short time he has been in foster care he has made great strides. He doesn’t have crazy puppy energy but enough friendly energy to turn just about any stranger into a friend. Like most retrievers he loves his toys and treats. Benedict is fine to come inside after a walk, or play session at the park and just chill out. He has a great personality, temperament and demeanor which would make him an excellent family companion.
