Meet Rachel..... What a pretty girl Rachel came from a puppy mill in Wisconsin. We have been receiving a ton of calls lately from mills. Alot of pet stores have been closing lately and hopefully this will slow down the mills from over producing pups in the near future. The pups that we typically take in are pups not choosen for pet store or private sales, this can be due to color, size, personality or age of the pup not meeting the breed specific requirements. Rachel is a 11 week old female Puggle. A Puggle is a Pug / Beagle cross.. We estimate her full growth weight to be around 15 pounds. She is considered a full shedding pup. Rachel is doing really well in her foster home, she is adjusting well and playing with toys and the other pups in that home. Rachel will be very popular and adopted quickly. Using a wee wee pad and the outdoors for potty training. Another TINY cutie this week! 4m old Max a baby Puggle/Doxie/Chi who sadly was dumped at a kill shelter after owner was given him as a gift from a friend and could no longer keep because they wanted an older dog! Please make sure to read ALL info below BEFORE applying. NO applications accepted by anyone under the age of 25 please (parent or guardian must apply) and you MUST have dog experience. He was given to Rock n' Rescue after her owner dumped him after a friend "gifted" the pup for no reason - luckily our southern partner stepped in to help and let us know he was safe and happy and ADORABLE - he then entered our rescue program and were super spoiled because they simply deserved to be over loved after his sad story! He was given the best of the best care and now he is ready to be a big boy all on his own. Max is at 9 lbs so perfect size for a new family looking for a small dog!! He is simply kisses love and cuddles! SOOOO SWEET and will be perfect for those looking for all around great family dog as as he is small for life and is super trainable at this young age! He is very playful and would love an active family preferably with another playful dog as he is happy with dogs and kids and loves to be a part of the whole family. He is crate and house training very well - almost 100% perfect and is just a smart lil' dude when it comes to training. Can't be a better fit for most families! His foster reports, "If you're looking for a fun little guy, you've met your match! Max is always up for play and cuddles. He is super affectionate and likes toys and to be a couch potato too. He is a VERY good boy who is almost 100% potty trained and loves all other pets and people so he's ideal for most families! He might be too enthusiastic for a home with older pups, but he is the perfect fit for a family with dog-savvy children who can match his puppy energy.." Max is truly special and are coming a long way for love. Again he will likely grow to be a small/med dog under 30lb dog - not super small but not too big. WE DO NOT DNA TEST for breeds so you adopt and love what you get no matter what tests tell you or do not apply... Max has had vaccines and been neutered and he has been microchipped and given all preventatives. Minimum donation required. Out of state adopters MUST pick up in Bedford Hills NY - no exceptions. Hi everyone my name is Gretchen and I am a three to four-year-old purebred Beagle girl that weighs 35 lb and I found myself homeless in a small town in Tennessee. People said that I was roaming the neighborhood for a while and no one knew who I belonged to. The shelter found Critter Cavalry Rescue to take me and I am looking for a home with a retired man because Critter Cavalry has found that I probably was abused by a woman.  I can be nice to them but I don't want to live with them.   They intimidate me and I am truly very fond of a man's attention.  I am good with other dogs and can hang out with and be best friends forever. I love people and I am friends with every dog and cat that I meet. As you can see, I am a happy girl and they tell me that I'm quite pretty too. No one knows much about me except that I have a sweet smile, a great personality and I love people that let me snuggle with them. I promise that I will be your cuddly snuggle bug and your best friend forever. I am looking for a Beagle loving home. I would welcome children as a part of my life and I can live with other dogs and even cats. They have tested me with everything and said I'm pretty perfect. Meet Jethro, this poor baby was dumped in a corn field where he lived for several weeks. Folks in the area tried to catch him but to no avail so they would leave food and water for him daily. Someone had finally contacted us so we headed out with our trap and caught him on the first night. It appeared that Jethro had never been around people and he was very very shy. He has come a long way but still needs work, this is why getting him into a permanent home is very important. He's the sweetest boy ever and has the most awesome Beagle howl that you have ever heard! In order to adopt him, YOU MUST HAVE A SECURE FENCED YARD! He has been neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and he is crate trained. He truly is a little gem! PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE: $500

This adorable 5 yr. Old, 32 pound Beagle girl is called Cozy, and she is just that, 'cozy', when it's time to settle in and snuggle while watching TV or just hanging out with you. as you work on the computer or read a book. She found herself in a very nice but small town shelter in Tennessee. And they are crazy about this sweet Beagle girl. She is such a well-rounded dog justi as we know beagles are.  She hangs on your every word and every kind gesture.   She adores people and attention, and will gladly learn commands.  We have found her to be wonderful with all other dogs and cats that she meets. She, of course, has her nose to the ground as she inspects any new areas of the playyard.  We think she is pretty much housebroken, and we know that she is smart.  Critter Cavalry would love to take her underwing and find an adopter, but first we need a foster home to place her with  or maybe we just can skip thaat part and have her go straight to an adopter!  Cozy needs out of the shelter.  Can you help our rescue?
