Meet Cookie! 🍪 31 lbs of stoutness and kisses! 💋 Cookie was locally surrendered with her friends, Cola and Casino, at no fault of their own! She is full of so much love and is ready to find her forever family. Here are some quick facts about Cookie: - Snuggle-Queen 👑 - Expert-level shadow dog - she loves her people and always wants to be near them 🩷 - The next WNBA star - she has been known to scale unexpected heights to get to her people 🏀 - Resident greeter - she is very vocal when guests arrive and just wants them to know that she is there and better be paid attention to! Vocalization is simply her love language 💁🏼‍♀️ - Will sleep in her crate at night (she prefers light music in the background), but would likely love to sleep alongside her people - Fully potty-trained and crate-trained 🙌🏻 - Loves her walks but is questionable about the sound her collar makes when it is put on her (she's getting better!)🐾 - Loves dog friends and would do well with another dog in her next home 🐕 - Has some nervousness around sudden movements, especially with kids -- we feel she would do best in a home without kids - Does well with positive reinforcement, especially when treats are involved! 🦴 Cookie has been working so hard on learning new things and is a quick learner! She’s looking for a calm, low-traffic home where she can truly shine as the center of attention. A fenced yard would be ideal for her to safely explore and enjoy the outdoors. This little lady is fully vetted, potty trained, and highly food motivated—she’ll even dance for treats! Rita adores ear scratches and belly rubs, and once she feels safe, she’ll be your loyal companion for life. She thrives in the company of women and is selective with some men, so a patient and understanding adopter is key. Rita would do best as the only pet in the home, where she can soak up all the love and affection she deserves. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a devoted little friend, Rita is ready to meet you. Additionally we require physically fenced yard for dog/pup to play in safely. Exceptions are sometimes made to this requirement but is up to the foster and more often done for the small breed dogs. All our dogs have been treated with de-wormer; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 months or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchipped; and examined by veterinarian plus given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed at time of adoption. Dogs will be spayed/neutered thru us prior to finalizing any adoption. We provide information on dogs age and breed based on what we are told by person surrendering dog or vet's best guess. While we try our best we cannot guarantee that this information is 100% accurate and can often be best guess in case of our lovable mutts.
