Story
Lightning, the young Beagle, lives up to his name with his quick learning, quiet energy, and a heart full of gratitude. Once a barn dog, he now thrives in a cozy home where he can finally rest his paws indoors. Though his brother Thunder may be the louder of the two, Lightning is a quiet soul who speaks with soft, whisper-like barks when he wants attention. He adapted to house life in a flash, quickly learning house training and commands with ease. His crate is a safe haven, but the door stays open—proof of his trustworthiness. Chicken jerky is his weakness, and though he loves to sniff and explore, he rarely begs for food (except for the occasional counter-surfing adventure). Outside, Lightning comes alive, darting across the yard like a true force of nature. He loves to sniff everything in sight, but loud noises still make him uneasy. With other dogs, he prefers slow, patient introductions, and while he hasn’t met many cats or kids, his adaptable nature shines through in all he does. Lightning’s foster family marvels at his desire to please: “He understands everything we say and works hard to make us happy, even though we’re not strict.” Gentle, smart, and full of quiet charm, Lightning is ready to brighten someone’s life.
