Story
Luna was born in Maine before moving to Florida. She is a 5 year old Beagle. She is very loving, loyal and makes a good watch dog. She needs a family or person who has the time and right environment to devote to her. Ideally, a family/person that has a yard to run around and sunbathe in. She does not like loud noises and will get scared easily, she's a sensitive girl. She is very good with people and needs a little time to warm up with other dogs but she has lived with other male dogs before and loves them. Her nose is very strong so she loves any and all food. She's very much a lover and enjoys hugs. She is very sweet and just needs a home with the time and environment (i.e yard) to give her.

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Meet Pete. He is a 7-year-old, 42-lb. tricolor beagle. He has big, expressive brown eyes and long, floppy ears. His medium-sized, muscular body and wagging tail make him an adorable and sturdy companion. Pete is friendly, curious and affectionate. He has a lively and playful spirit but the hound in him can also be quite stubborn and determined, especially when following an interesting scent. He is intelligent and enjoys problem-solving activities. Pete loves to explore and go on walks, using his keen sense of smell to track scents. He enjoys playing with toilet paper rolls and toilet paper lol. He’s fond of belly rubs and cuddling with his favorite humans. Pete also loves to lie down and sit in high places where he can see everyone or look out the window. Pete is not fond of loud noises or sudden changes in his environment. Initially, he can be leery of strangers but warms up quickly with some gentle coaxing. Pete is good with children and gets along well with other dogs. He is wary of men at first but will give tons of love once he feels safe. It is unknown how he interacts with cats. Pete is a bit of a couch potato, loves snuggles and is a total sweetheart. He is looking for a family that will give him the love and attention he deserves. Pete is a very low-energy pup.    Up until Pete came into our rescue, he had not had a great life and his health was extremely neglected. He arrived to Lil Rascals with hair only on his feet. Many people would describe his skin "elephant skin." He was in pain and miserable. After 8 months of intensive care by our vet and his wonderful, loving foster family, Pete has regrown practically all of his hair back and is a new dog who feels good and looks great. But he doesn't have normal hair follicles and never will, so he will always need continued maintenance. Right now that's routine bathing 2-3x a week with a medicated shampoo. He will also need a regular Cytopoint injection for itching.   Whoever adopts Pete is a very blessed family. We are requiring a fenced-in yard for him to go out and explore and take his time to go potty. He does have some separation anxiety, so someone who is home most of the time and has other pets to keep him company is what is preferred for Pete. Someone with hound experience would be a bonus. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Pete, please complete an app and tell us more about your family. December 14, 2024, 4:22 pm

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Meet Moana - the 9-month-old female Chug (possible pug/chihuahua mix) who lives up to her name. Just like the Disney character, Moana is adorably cute, active, mischievous and very smart. She is also resilient.  Moana had a rough start in her young life. She was found as a stray with rubber bands tied so tightly around her ears that she ended up losing the bottom half of each ear. As sad as that is, she has rebounded from that abuse and left all that in her past. She is filled with so much love. Though she is a bit shy when you first meet her, she quickly comes out of her shell and will make you laugh with her silly personality. Once she trusts you, she will shower you with kisses and affection. Moana will also be your constant shadow, following you from room to room and snuggling on the couch and bed.   She is good with cats and loves all dogs she meets, from small to large, she just wants to play. A home with another dog as a companion would be ideal. Moana is also good with children but she can play rough sometimes so older children would be a better match. And because she is so playful and full of energy she would not do well in an apartment, she needs a home with a fenced yard for her daily zoomies. She walks well on a leash and rides great in the car. She’s also housebroken but needs to be let out frequently as she is still a puppy.  Moana is just a wonderful puppy, filled with so much love to give to the right family. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe  you are that perfect family for this precious girl, please fill out an application online and tell us more about you.
