Story
Norris is a 13 lb Chihuahua-Pug mix and Chuck’s brother, though they’d do best in separate homes. However, Norris would thrive with a confident canine companion to help him learn household manners and build his confidence. He’s a bit more reserved than Chuck but just as affectionate—he loves a good cuddle! Norris walks nicely on leash and enjoys tasty treats as motivation. At just a year old, he’s ready to find a loving home where he can continue to grow and feel safe. Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard. If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home. HOW TO APPLY: From Petfinder.com The fastest way to get to the adoptable dog page is to copy and then paste this link into your browser: https://unitedanimalfriends.org/adoptable-dogs/ When you are on the UAF website Select "Adoptable Dogs" and pick the dog you are interested in. To apply to adopt, go into the dog's profile, and click the gray "Apply for Adoption" button to get started. You could be a life saver! Help us save more lives by fostering a dog or cat. Story
Meet Chuck, an adorable 13 lb Chihuahua-Pug mix (or “Chug,” as we like to call him)! At just a year old, Chuck is outgoing and loves attention. He’s still gaining confidence in new situations since he didn’t get much exposure to the outside world in his previous home, but he’s learning quickly and even walks nicely on leash. One thing’s for sure—he’d love a cozy lap to snuggle on and will never say no to a tasty treat! Chuck is ready to find a loving home where he can continue to blossom. Story
Meet Helen! This incredibly sweet girl is a 5 yr. old beagle mix who is 100% deaf. She is extremely smart and observes everything. Her coat and ears are so soft that you cannot resist petting her when she naps and cuddles with you. Helen is house and dog door trained. She does not like being confined to small spaces or in crates. She loves to play ball and run around her yard. She also loves walks and is great on the leash but when she is not on a leash in a fenced yard she cannot hear when called to come. She rides very well in the car and loves going to the lake and playing in water but again, she must be kept on leash. Helen does very well with other dogs. She loves to play fetch with them and she is so good at playing ball that she actually tosses it herself and will fetch it. Cats are unknown. She is good with children. It is unknown how she is with babies. Unfortunately, Helen’s current owner adopted her from the local Humane Society and her Landlord doesn’t allow pets.
