Story
Beau is living in a foster home in Fort Atkinson. Beau might just be the squishiest and snuggliest boy in the world! He loves to be cuddled in your lap and just nestles right in. Beau is visually impaired and will be seeing a vet to determine if there is any way to help improve his vision. He does bump into things but it really doesn't hold him back; he just needs supervision and a little guidance to go in the right direction. He adores Kiki and often sleeps with his head on her shoulders. She does help guide him outside. He loves soft toys and blankets. He is currently about 31 pounds but should be closer to 22-25. Losing this weight will help make him more comfortable and easier to pick up to snuggle! He is kennel trained and an absolute joy to have as a foster. His snore is an adorable alternative to a white noise machine :) Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250. Story
Kiki is living in a foster home in Fort Atkinson! Kiki and Beau were surrenders to the local shelter and transferred to Paddy's Paws. Both have incredible personalities and are just a joy to be around. Kiki loves to snuggle in your lap and be held. She has been battling some upper respiratory issues, but is feeling much better and showing more pep in her step! She has little "tap dancing" sessions when she is excited! Kiki is excellent with children! She adores her companion Beau and they snuggle and sleep together, side by side. While she is currently 26 pounds, she really should be closer to 18. Losing this weight slowly will help her live a long and comfortable life! She is kennel trained and doing well with her routine on housetraining. It is suspected that she was a former breeding dog, so we're not sure what her life was like before, but we are certain she is an absolute delight! Interested in adoption? Story
Iris is living in a foster home near Ashippun, Wisconsin. Iris is approximately 7 years old and weighs about 32 pounds. She is a darling dog. While Iris is fully blind, she doesn’t let that stop her from getting around. She’s a puggle and sleeps most of the time. She would love a comfy spot to hang out in and nap in. She’s very food motivated and gets excited when she smells food or when you are getting her meals together. She sleeps in the bed with her foster and the other dogs. She’s fully potty trained and will bark if she needs to go potty. Her foster takes her out multiple times a day with the other dogs and she’s very content. She’s very friendly and hasn’t met a stranger. She’s good with other dogs, and also likes her own space so she would be content with a home with or without dogs. Interested in adoption? Story
Chiquita arrives in Wisconsin on February 23rd. The different vets Chiquita has visited have estimated her to be about six to eight years old. She loves to cuddle and be the center of human attention. She has experience living with other dogs, but prefers to have her treats and foods in a separate location. This sweet little girl is very lovable, but sadly has been neglected. She will have one eye removed before heading to Wisconsin and has had a couple of mass cell tumors removed. Her new family will need to stay on top of any bumps that she gets so they can be removed. She's very sweet and loves the company of other dogs and things going on around her. She will play with other dogs, but can become a little bit dominant. She will cuddle with other dogs, but when they lick her face, she may get annoyed. Chiquita prefers human attention and human cuddles. She loves to sleep in the bed with her people. If you let her, she will even spend the entire night laying on your tummy! Interested in adoption? Story
Buster arrives in Wisconsin on February 23rd. Buster is adorable! He is a cute and happy puppy who has experience living with other dogs. He will be about 3 months old when he arrives in Wisconsin at the end of February. Buster and his siblings were found dumped, in a bucket, on the property of a shelter in Texas. As a shelter is not the best place for a puppy to be, they were able to go to a loving foster home. We hope to get new photos from his foster! His adopter will need to have him neutered by six months of age and attend positive based in-person puppy classes. If you are an approved adopter, you can get connected to the Texas foster to learn more about his personality. Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com.
