Story
Barkley was recently surrendered to a kill shelter in Georgia with his brother (a 1-year-old cocker spaniel) by a family who no longer had time for them after their kids went to college. They ended up hitching a ride from Georgia to Cedarburg, Wisconsin on 10/26 with Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin and are now settling into their foster homes. Barkley is such a sweet and easy peasy boy! He is potty trained and does well in the crate when his foster parents are at work. He is not an off-leash dog yet but could be with training. He has done great on walks and meeting all the neighbor dogs! He gets along with everyone he meets and LOVES to play and be silly. He was a little weirded out of the cats in the house, but after a day he has gotten used to them and doesn't pay any attention. He has not chewed on anything and is not a dog that is going to destroy any toys. He really only barks if his foster siblings are barking at the doorbell or something like that, but is otherwise very quiet. He sleeps in bed all night and likes to snuggle up between pillows. He loves attention and snuggles from his people, probably his favorite thing. His ideal day is to go for a walk and then lay on the couch hanging out with his family. He is a very chill boy and even takes himself to bed once it gets dark out (lol).
