Story
Meet Beans! This goofy little guy proves that beauty is in the eye of the beholder—especially when you look like him! With an underbite that can melt the iciest of hearts and a face that practically screams, “Love me!” how could you resist? Beans spent five days living on the streets before a kind rescuer picked him up, and now he’s ready for his forever home. We’re not quite sure what his mix is, but the vet thinks he’s some kind of Bulldog/ Shih Tzu. At 42 pounds, Beans is definitely more of a teapot than a teacup Shih Tzu! He’s ready to bring the love and laughter, all he needs is a chance! FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.
