Story
Meet Roke, a playful, fun-loving dog who’s always ready for adventure! He’s great with kids and gets along wonderfully with the dogs in his foster home. He also loves the cats—he gets a little excited around them, but it’s all playful and friendly. Roke adores zooming through the snow, chasing toys, and just enjoying life to the fullest. When the fun winds down, Roke is a total snuggle bug. He’ll happily curl up on the couch with you, and his adorable snore is guaranteed to make you smile. He does great in his kennel and is working on his potty training, making him a pup who’s learning all the right ways to settle into a forever home. Roke is ready for a family that loves playtime, snuggles, and having a fun-loving, energetic companion by their side. To apply to adopt, visit tailsofhopewi.org. Story
History: Wallace is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Looking to add a little squish and a whole lot of love to your family? Well, look no further - it's me, Wallace and I'm ready to find my forever family. It's been long overdue for me, but thanks to rescue life I'm told I have a second chance! I'm seven years old but have the movement of a much younger pup. I get in lots of steps during the day because I follow my foster mom wherever she goes and its a great way for me to keep up my potato like physique. I'm still working on stairs - we don't have many at my foster home, but currently I prefer to take a running start and leap the stairs outside. While stairs are a bit tricky for me, I have learned that coming in and out of the door isn't scary! I'm not a big fan of my leash. I find it weird and often worry it might eat me, so I try to eat it first - or I just sit down in an attempt to make my point. Foster mom continues to make me work on this, I'm not a fan, but I tolerate it at times. I would much rather prefer to just follow her on my own, but apparently dogs are expected to learn to walk on a leash so they are safe (or at least that's what I keep being told). Since I haven't really had much experience with life outside of a kennel, potty training is a whole new concept for me. At first I didn't understand why I wasn't supposed to mark my smell all over my new house (how do the rest of you say hello??), but now I'm learning that foster mom doesn't really like cleaning that up and I follow my foster siblings outside. I need someone to keep a bit of a watch over me when I get to new places, but I really am trying hard. I've gotten a lot better in a pretty short amount of time, it's just a little tough to figure out all of these new things. Now if I start to mark my spot inside foster mom makes a weird noise and I walk away. I guess soon I'm having a thing called a neuter and that is supposed to help - not sure what that is, but it sounds important. If you decide to adopt me there are a few things I really need from you - love, treats, and soft places to lay. I have never had these things before and now that I know what they are I simply cannot live without them. The people in my foster house are so nice to me. They pet me and snuggle me and are forever telling me how loved I am and it just makes me feel so good to know I'm special. Treats were something I never knew existed and golly are they amazing. I even know how to take them out of human hands because "I'm so brave"! Soft beds are incredible - I am becoming a certified couch potato when my humans watch movies and read books. It feels so nice to lay on something warm and soft. I just can't believe a life like this exists and am so glad Coco's Heart found me. Foster mom assures me life is only going to get better for me from here!
