Story
**Harrison: The Howlin' Good, Huggable Hunk!**Just look at that face! Harrison, this ridiculously handsome 6-month-old Pug mix, is ready to wiggle his way into your heart (and probably onto your lap for some serious snuggling). Weighing in at a robust 12 lbs, he's the perfect size for cuddles on the couch, playful tumbles in the grass, and basically everything in between.Harrison is a curious little dude, and that inquisitive mind of his can sometimes lead to hilarious hijinks (his foster family has a few stories, we're sure!). But beneath that playful exterior lies a heart of gold. He's a cuddly guy who loves nothing more than snuggling up to his humans. And at night? He lets out a little howl to let his "pack" know he's safe and sound – talk about adorable! While he's still mastering the art of being a "grown-up" (house training is a work in progress with puppy pads as his current jam, and crate training is going well, though accidents do happen overnight), Harrison is a smart cookie and eager to please. He's doing great with his manners and listens well, especially when told to "stop" (usually when his curiosity gets the better of him!).Harrison gets along swimmingly with other dogs – he loves playing with his foster brother – and has met the resident cat with no issues (as long as the cat is nice!). He's also kid-friendly, making him a wonderful addition to families with children of all ages. Leash training is still on the to-do list, but with a little patience and positive reinforcement, Harrison will be strutting his stuff in no time.Harrison is up-to-date on his shots, microchipped, and neutered, all ready to embark on his grand adventure with his forever family. He'd love a home with another canine companion, but if his humans are up for plenty of playtime, he'll be one happy camper!Adoption Fee: $500.00Location: Gurnee, ILReady to give Harrison the howlin' good, huggable forever home he deserves? 🐾 Fill out an application at www.biggiepawsrescue.org and let's get this curious, cuddly canine matched with his perfect family! Please note: All adopters must be prepared to provide a loving and supportive home for Harrison, including ongoing training, appropriate exercise, and veterinary care.DATCP # 494550

Story
Beau is living in a foster home in Fort Atkinson. Beau might just be the squishiest and snuggliest boy in the world! He loves to be cuddled in your lap and just nestles right in. Beau is visually impaired and recently had surgery to remove both eyes due to pressure. As he couldn't see before, he has adjusted just fine! He can navigate the home just fine, including a set of 4 stairs in and out to go potty. He is great with other dogs and was surrendered with Kiki. Initially we considered them bonded, but as they have gotten healthier and more adjusted, we recognize they also could be adopted separately (but would absolutely adopt them together). He would thrive best with a dog companion to sleep with and guide him in a new home, He loves soft toys and blankets. He is currently about 26 pounds and has lost a few in foster, but should be closer to 22-25. Losing this weight will help make him more comfortable and easier to pick up to snuggle! He is kennel trained and an absolute joy to have as a foster. His snore is an adorable alternative to a white noise machine :) Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250. Story
Kiki is living in a foster home in Fort Atkinson! Kiki and Beau were surrenders to the local shelter and transferred to Paddy's Paws. Both have incredible personalities and are just a joy to be around. Kiki loves to snuggle in your lap and be held. She has little "tap dancing" sessions when she is excited! Kiki is excellent with children! She does well with Beau as a companion, but would be happy to be an only child or in a home with other dogs. She is currently 22 pounds, she really should be closer to 18. Losing this weight slowly will help her live a long and comfortable life! She is kennel trained and doing well with her routine on housetraining. It is suspected that she was a former breeding dog, so we're not sure what her life was like before, but we are certain she is an absolute delight! Interested in adoption? Story
Iris is living in a foster home near Ashippun, Wisconsin. Iris is approximately 7 years old and weighs about 32 pounds. She is a darling dog. While Iris is fully blind, she doesn’t let that stop her from getting around. She’s a puggle and sleeps most of the time. She would love a comfy spot to hang out in and nap in. She’s very food motivated and gets excited when she smells food or when you are getting her meals together. She sleeps in the bed with her foster and the other dogs. She’s fully potty trained and will bark if she needs to go potty. Her foster takes her out multiple times a day with the other dogs and she’s very content. She’s very friendly and hasn’t met a stranger. She’s good with other dogs, and also likes her own space so she would be content with a home with or without dogs. Interested in adoption? Story
Chiquita arrives in Wisconsin on February 23rd. The different vets Chiquita has visited have estimated her to be about six to eight years old. She loves to cuddle and be the center of human attention. She has experience living with other dogs, but prefers to have her treats and foods in a separate location. This sweet little girl is very lovable, but sadly has been neglected. She will have one eye removed before heading to Wisconsin and has had a couple of mass cell tumors removed. Her new family will need to stay on top of any bumps that she gets so they can be removed. She's very sweet and loves the company of other dogs and things going on around her. She will play with other dogs, but can become a little bit dominant. She will cuddle with other dogs, but when they lick her face, she may get annoyed. Chiquita prefers human attention and human cuddles. She loves to sleep in the bed with her people. If you let her, she will even spend the entire night laying on your tummy! Interested in adoption?
