Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  **Pugsley: A Senior Purebred Pug** Pugsley has shown incredible resilience despite the challenges he has faced. He came to Rompin Paws Rescue after his human mom entered the final stages of cancer, and he had also just lost his best dog friend to a stroke. Pugsley was sad and required medical care. However, thanks to the love and attention he received, he has made remarkable progress. He has undergone a full dental procedure, which included the removal of some teeth, and his chronic ear infections have been treated. As a result, Pugsley is feeling much better. Now ready for his forever home, Pugsley has lost weight, gained muscle, and looks and feels great! Pugsley is learning to enjoy multiple daily walks and is becoming physically stronger every day. Rompin Paws Rescue will provide education to Pugsley’s adopter about proper canine feeding and will encourage the continuation of his supplements for joint and muscle health due to his neutering. Pugsley has special needs, as he is mostly blind (although he navigates well once he learns his environment) and has some hearing issues. However, he has regained some hearing after his ear infections were cleared up. We are looking for a forever person or family who can love Pugsley unconditionally and provide him with a home where he can relax, walk in the sun, and enjoy his golden years in peace and comfort. If you have a buddy dog for Pugsley, he would be incredibly happy, as he misses his friend Jack.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 21, 2025, 1:33 pm

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Ever been torn between adopting a pug or a chihuahua? Love them both? Well, today’s your lucky day! Meet Feta, a 2 year old, 12 lb joyful and lovable pug-Chi mix (also known as a “Chug”). She came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Feta combines the best traits of both breeds! She has the iconic pug face, but as a mix, her snout isn’t as pushed in as a purebred pug’s. This gives her larger airways, meaning less snoring and better overall health for a brachycephalic breed. She’s also more athletic and heat-tolerant than a typical pug, with eyes that are well-protected, reducing some of the common challenges flat-faced breeds face. Her personality? Pure sunshine! Feta is playful, energetic, and full of happy-go-lucky charm. She loves every human and dog she meets, radiating friendliness wherever she goes. From her chihuahua side, she brings devotion, loyalty, and an excellent watchdog instinct, ensuring you’re never caught off-guard. Feta’s energy level makes her best suited for families with older kids who can keep up with her zest for life—toddlers and preschoolers might find her a little too much. She’s fantastic in the car, she is potty pad trained and is crate trained. When she’s not playing or exploring, Feta loves nothing more than snuggling with her humans and relaxing on the couch. Feta is an absolute delight and the perfect blend of two amazing breeds. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion with endless love to give, Feta can’t wait to meet you! Feta is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and will be spayed prior to adoption. Her adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Iggy! He is a 3-year-old, 30 LB pug who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA in hopes of finding his forever home here in WA! Iggy is quite the character! He loves doing tricks for treats and is very motivated to do just about anything with the right treat in your hand. He walks well on leash and is ready to go on any adventure you have in mind! He has also gotten along great with other dogs in our care. Iggy would love a forever home that is going to take him on daily walks and adventures, as he loves to get out and explore as much as possible. He will also enjoy hanging out on the couch with his people, but definitely needs to get his daily exercise as he has quite a bit of energy. This happy boy is going to make such a great adventure buddy! Iggy is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $600.

Story
Animal Profile:  Tattie is a 20lb, 6-year-old female pug that found herself in need of rescue when she wound up in the Moreno Valley Shelter. We saw her profile, and knew we needed to get her out! A cage is no place to live for a pugtato. She arrives Sunday 10/20 and we are excited to meet her! We discovered Tattie is blind in one eye, but that doesn’t stop her from living her best life!  Foster Update:  Tattie is a sweet, sassy girl. She loves cuddles, cozy dog beds, soft squeaky toys and naps. She wants to be part of all the family activities. She is thriving with our daily routine and takes cues from other dogs. She snores rather loud but has a quiet bark that she rarely uses. She can be pretty sporty in short bursts. She doesn’t love walks and will not go potty just because she’s outside (apartment life wouldn’t be a good fit). She needs time to explore the yard. She likes soft treats but isn’t very motivated by food. She can go up the stairs but can’t go down them (we’re working on that).   Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, and microchip with registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History:  This dog is arriving from San Bernadino via Wiggle Butts Transport on Sunday 10/20/2024. She will be available for adoption in the Seattle area. December 10, 2024, 3:14 pm

Story
Margo is located in Texas. Transportation is available for any out of state approved adopter. Cost of transportation is $230 in addition to her adoption fee. Margo is a sweet, affectionate little cutie! She gets along with others, even though she can get a little bossy if one of them is in her foster mom’s lap. She’s a tad bit jealous. She loves to play. We are not sure of her history but apparently she traveled some. Riding in a car doesn’t seem new to her. We aren’t sure of her breed but her curly tail suggests a Pug mix.*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Lucas is a 3-month-old Chihuahua, Terrier, and Pug mix who is full of life and bursting with energy. He’s happy, playful, and loves to keep busy! Lucas spends his days playing with other dogs, running around, and having fun with his toys. He’s a little bundle of joy who brings smiles wherever he goes.Lucas would thrive in an active home with other pets, whether they’re dogs or cats, and he’s great with kids who enjoy playing as much as he does. His ideal family is one that can match his energy and offer him plenty of love, patience, and attention.A home where Lucas would be left alone for long periods or with less active owners wouldn’t be the best fit. This little guy needs someone who can keep up with his playful spirit and give him the time and affection he deserves.Rescued alongside his three siblings, Lucas has been given a second chance at life and is ready to find his forever family. He’s a healthy, happy puppy who loves to play all day and sleep through the night. Lucas knows how to come when called and is already learning to fetch and return toys.If you’re looking for a fun-loving puppy who will fill your home with joy and laughter, Lucas is the perfect match for you!
