Story
It’s Puggle Time! Meet Hijinx, 19 month old puggle parkour expert! With his pug-featured face/markings, exuberant & energetic personality, Hijinx is a great dog for an active family or individual. He loves to cuddle as much as he loves to play & explore his surroundings. Left to his own devices, he will leap surface-to-surface to explore all kinds of elevated areas, so good thing he is crate trained 😂🤣. Hijinx is child, dog, & cat friendly. A stray for a prolonged period of his life, he has been a bit slow to master housebreaking, so having him wear a belly band when indoors is strongly recommended. He is a friendly, very affectionate goofball in search of his furever home. Attributes: Child friendly Dog friendly Cat safe Crate trained Needs to wear belly band indoors Walks well on leash Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  **Pugsley: A Senior Purebred Pug** Pugsley has shown incredible resilience despite the challenges he has faced. He came to Rompin Paws Rescue after his human mom entered the final stages of cancer, and he had also just lost his best dog friend to a stroke. Pugsley was sad and required medical care. However, thanks to the love and attention he received, he has made remarkable progress. He has undergone a full dental procedure, which included the removal of some teeth, and his chronic ear infections have been treated. As a result, Pugsley is feeling much better. Now ready for his forever home, Pugsley has lost weight, gained muscle, and looks and feels great! Pugsley is learning to enjoy multiple daily walks and is becoming physically stronger every day. Rompin Paws Rescue will provide education to Pugsley’s adopter about proper canine feeding and will encourage the continuation of his supplements for joint and muscle health due to his neutering. Pugsley has special needs, as he is mostly blind (although he navigates well once he learns his environment) and has some hearing issues. However, he has regained some hearing after his ear infections were cleared up. We are looking for a forever person or family who can love Pugsley unconditionally and provide him with a home where he can relax, walk in the sun, and enjoy his golden years in peace and comfort. If you have a buddy dog for Pugsley, he would be incredibly happy, as he misses his friend Jack.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 21, 2025, 1:33 pm

This people-oriented pup thrives on affection and would be equally happy as part of a fun family or by the side of someone who can spend their days showering her with attention. She’s great with other small dogs but would also do just fine as your one and only. Francine loves to play and has the cutest little treat-dance routine, twirling for snacks before sitting politely for her reward. She’s incredibly treat-motivated and a quick learner, ready to impress you with her new tricks! If you’re looking for a playful, cuddly companion with endless love to give, Francine, the Snuggle Puggle, is ready to warm your heart and your lap! We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $1,200 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Ever been torn between adopting a pug or a chihuahua? Love them both? Well, today’s your lucky day! Meet Feta, a 2 year old, 12 lb joyful and lovable pug-Chi mix (also known as a “Chug”). She came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Feta combines the best traits of both breeds! She has the iconic pug face, but as a mix, her snout isn’t as pushed in as a purebred pug’s. This gives her larger airways, meaning less snoring and better overall health for a brachycephalic breed. She’s also more athletic and heat-tolerant than a typical pug, with eyes that are well-protected, reducing some of the common challenges flat-faced breeds face. Her personality? Pure sunshine! Feta is playful, energetic, and full of happy-go-lucky charm. She loves every human and dog she meets, radiating friendliness wherever she goes. From her chihuahua side, she brings devotion, loyalty, and an excellent watchdog instinct, ensuring you’re never caught off-guard. Feta’s energy level makes her best suited for families with older kids who can keep up with her zest for life—toddlers and preschoolers might find her a little too much. She’s fantastic in the car, she is potty pad trained and is crate trained. When she’s not playing or exploring, Feta loves nothing more than snuggling with her humans and relaxing on the couch. Feta is an absolute delight and the perfect blend of two amazing breeds. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion with endless love to give, Feta can’t wait to meet you! Feta is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and will be spayed prior to adoption. Her adoption fee is $500.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Iggy! He is a 3-year-old, 30 LB pug who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA in hopes of finding his forever home here in WA! Iggy is quite the character! He loves doing tricks for treats and is very motivated to do just about anything with the right treat in your hand. He walks well on leash and is ready to go on any adventure you have in mind! Iggy would love a forever home that is going to take him on daily walks and adventures, as he loves to get out and explore as much as possible. He will also enjoy hanging out on the couch with his people, but definitely needs to get his daily exercise as he has quite a bit of energy. This happy boy is going to make such a great adventure buddy! Iggy is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $600.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Pugsley! This gentleman is a 4-year-old, 18 lb Pug who came to the PNW in search of a loving home. With an energetic and bouncy personality, Pugsley is always ready for fun. He loves playing with toys, and you’ll often catch him in action, zooming around with a big smile on his face. He’s also a bit of a treat lover, so he’s easily motivated when it comes to training or just showing off his skills for a tasty snack. Pugsley gets along well with other dogs, making him a great addition to any household. He’s also quite well-balanced, perfectly embodying the playful yet chill nature of a typical Pug. When he's not bouncing around or cuddling, you’ll find him happily napping and recharging for the next adventure. If you're looking for a dog who's sweet, loving, and full of energy (with just the right amount of nap time!), Pugsley would love to meet you! Pugsley is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $600.
