Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED Say hello to Sicily! She is a 5-year-old, 28 lb Pug who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA in hopes of finding her forever home here in WA! She is currently living in foster care. Sicily (“Sissy”) is very sweet and loving. She does well in a crate (overnight and when we have to be gone intermittently). She loves to eat and to be around people. She is very social and makes friends quickly. She is great with our kids, ages 5 and 7. She is friendly with other dogs (likes to play with our two family dogs) and also does well on walks. She learns quickly and figured out how to use our dog door after only a few attempts. She likes to play with toys and explore the yard. She could do ok in an apartment setting with regular walks. She has high energy but is also happy to settle in on a lap. Sicily is going to make a wonderful addition to any lucky household that adopts her! Sicily is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $600.

Story
Animal Profile:  Tattie is a 20lb, 6-year-old female pug that found herself in need of rescue when she wound up in the Moreno Valley Shelter. We saw her profile, and knew we needed to get her out! A cage is no place to live for a pugtato. She arrives Sunday 10/20 and we are excited to meet her! Foster Update:  Tattie is a sweet, sassy girl. She loves cuddles, cozy dog beds, soft squeaky toys and naps. She wants to be part of all the family activities. She is thriving with our daily routine and takes cues from other dogs. She snores rather loud but has a quiet bark that she rarely uses. She can be pretty sporty in short bursts. She doesn’t love walks and will not go potty just because she’s outside (apartment life wouldn’t be a good fit). She needs time to explore the yard. She likes soft treats but isn’t very motivated by food. She can go up the stairs but can’t go down them (we’re working on that).   Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, and microchip with registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History:  This dog is arriving from San Bernadino via Wiggle Butts Transport on Sunday 10/20/2024. She will be available for adoption in the Seattle area. November 6, 2024, 5:36 pm

Story
Meet Bruno! This young pup came to us a few weeks ago. He was found in a rural area and was clearly in distress. It appeared he had sustained a head injury, possibly from being hit by a car, or possible from abuse. It is hard to tell. He has been recovering in his foster home and is doing very well. He is an outgoing and sweet little boy. He loves other dogs and all humans though he can be a little hand shy at times. He loves playing in the yard outside and chewing on his toys. He is so much fun. He is a little more wary of men and seems to prefer women but he is easily won over with a bit of patience.  Bruno is generally in good health but his injury has left him with minor neurological damage. His depth perception is not 100%, likely because one side of his brain sustained the injury and cause damage to his eye. He can see but the eye is turned outwards a little bit. He can sometimes turn in a circle, or walk backwards, as if to get his bearings. Overall he is just delightful and his mild impairment just makes him more endearing. Bruno is vaccinated and microchipped. He will be neutered at our cost between 8-12 months of age. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Gremlin alert! Adorableeeeeee! Meet Aggie! This little punkin' came to us from less than ideal conditions, living in squalor in someone's backyard, without any interaction or attention given to her.  She is one+ year old now and safe with us. It is clear she was not treated kindly. Aggie is an endearing little girl. She is very timid and will look at you a bit fearfully with her big buggy gremlin eyes.  She is so keen on making a connection though and finds adorable ways to do it, like sneaking up to nibble on your clothes, giving your hands a quick kiss when she is feeling brave.  She likes it when you invite her to play - she loves to play. She will need time to fully trust people but she will get there.  Aggie's back legs are a bit deformed, born this way. Her knees are locked in place and her knee caps essentially are non-functional. She gets around very well and is not in pain.  She runs, plays, have zoomies all the time. She absolutely loves playing with other dogs, big or small. It is so cute to see her tussle with them. She can't jump on surfaces (like couches or beds) and will struggle with stairs. We had her evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon and unfortunately any surgery is not likely to succeed and can possible make her situation worse.  We hope someone will love her just the way she is. And she is just wonderful.  Aggie will need a home with a yard. Longer walks will be hard for her but puttering and playing in the yard is perfect for her.  Due to her timid nature, a home with older kids (over 10) is best for her. Aggie is vaccinated, chipped and spayed.  Aggie is vaccinated, chipped and spayed. Story
Meet Potato! This cutie came to us with 4 siblings. They are Pug/Terrier mixes and are around 12 weeks old. We expect them to be medium in size when full grown (around 25 lbs).  Potato and his siblings have lovely temperaments and are typical puppies, exploring, playing, snuggling, sleeping and eating all day long. They are curious and playful and interested in the world around them. They get along with other animals and are young enough to learn to live with cats, though they don't have experience with cats at this time.  Pups this age are a commitment. They need training and socialization and can't be alone for long periods of time. With the right guidance they will grow up to be lovely family companions.  Potato and his siblings have all received their puppy vaccinations, are microchipped and dewormed. Their adoption fee is $525. The adoption fee includes the cost of their spay/neuter when they are between 8-12 months of age. You can submit an application via savinggreatanimals.org We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
Say hello to Archie! Archie is a 3-year-old English Bulldog who came to us an owner surrender as his owner was not able to care for him. Prior to coming to us, he lived much of his life in a crate where he was not well socialized or cared for. Archie has made huge strides since going into his foster home and we have found that he forms a deep and loving bond with his person, and we think he would do best in a home with one owner. He is looking for a confident, experienced owner who will spend time to help him reach his full potential. Archie is happy with other dogs, and would do fine with other dogs in the home but is best suited to a home without children and without a lot of foot traffic. He does well in a crate, and he is also house broken. Archie has quite the personality and loves to go for a ride in the car. In addition to car rides, he absolutely loves his toys and will entertain himself for hours on end. Archie is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Say hello to Sister! She is a 2-year-old, 50lb English bulldog who came to us from CA with her sister Dribble, in hopes of finding an amazing home here in WA! Sister is a very sweet girl, but also extremely shut down at the moment. She has had a rough past and is looking to leave that behind her but will need time to open up and learn to trust again. She is very loving with her person, but will need a patient adopter in a quiet home that will give her time to open up and gain confidence. Sister needs work on leash training and loves to remain in places that feel safe and cozy for now. She would also not do well in a home with cats. Sister is UTD on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $650.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Say hello to this big goofball, Louie! He is a 2-year-old, ~55 lb English Bulldog who came to us from as an owner surrender from CA after they could no longer care for him. Louie is an absolutely STUNNING bulldog in both looks and personality. He has a rich brown coloring with one white sock, and an adorable underbite. Louie is a total sweetheart that has gotten along great with any dogs and people he has met in our care. He has also done well around kids, however, he does not always recognize his size and will accidentally knock you over if you’re not careful. He is a very well natured boy though, and is looking for an amazing forever home that will love on him and give him a rich life full of experiences! Louie is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $700.
