Delilah is a people person! She is a sweet girl that just loves to be with her people. While she likes to play with other dogs, even more so she likes to be the center of your attention. She will sit on your foot like its a chair if she doesnt have your lap, because thats how much she wants to be near you. Shell watch TV like a human being and bark if the action gets too gutsy! She loves to talk, does great on walks, and just wants to overall be your sidekick.

Story
My name is Rhonda. I definitely had a hard start in life. I was used by a breeder until I was no longer useful and then dumped. That past does not define me though. I LOVE to be by my person's side. I love my short strolls with my foster mom who is also teaching me fun new tricks like sit, stay and down. I love to learn ... well I especially love the treats. I sleep through the night snuggled up next to my foster mom and potty training I have down. I do not like unpredictable behavior so young kids and overly active pups might not be my perfect match. I chase and bark at kitty cats so definitely need a home with no cats. I am so much of a velcro little love and am soulfully searching for that family and even a chill pug or two I can just snuggle with forever. Do you think that family is searching for me? I know I am searching for them.

Story
Hi, my name is Buster. My foster mom says I am pretty perfect. Now that I'm feeling better, I love to play fetch, snuggle and I am a ham for attention. I am almost completely potty trained and sleep through the night. Due to health reasons, I have had to stay separated from everyone, but I would much prefer a lap or bed to snuggle in. I tend to squeak or give a little bark (I am not a big talker) but I do get curious about everything around me. I know my coat still needs to grow in, but my charming personality outweighs any of my missing fur. I am a happy balance between playful and calm when needed. I am so excited to find my forever family. Is that you?

Story
If you are looking for a cute, sweet senior who loves head rubs more than just about anything, then Sophia is your girl! Sophia had a rough life with severe neglect. She was kept in a cage in Mexico and used for breeding. She was kept outside in hot weather and close to death from a massive hernia before she was brought to the US for an emergency surgery that saved her life. Since then, she has been taken good care of and has had stability. She is an elderly girl, who is 12 years old. She is sweet and gentle and gets along well with our 10 and 13 year old children. She has limited vision from eye scarring due to her life experiences. She also has limited hearing and mobility. But dont let that fool you! She can advocate for her caloric needs with a soft bark when she feels she has not been fed quickly enough! She is a couch potato, who sleeps a lot in her retirement years! She isnt used to going on walks, but will go out and walk a bit each day. She currently gets three/day and is willing to walk a little further each time. She moves slowly, but loves the smells of the outside world. She sleeps through the night in her dog bed. Sophia is unable to get onto furniture due to her mobility challenges. She is working on potty training, and we believe she will respond well to crate or gate training. She is a happy eater and could lose a few pounds according to the vet. Shes curious and wags her tail when she smells a familiar person! Shes a great dog for someone looking to show love and patience to a sweet senior girl (don't forget the head rubs!).

Story
Meet Changa, we were told Changa is approximately 12 yrs old but we believe he might be a few years younger. Changa was brought into the shelter to be euthanized but the shelter staff felt that he had so much more life and love to give so they contacted us and asked for help. Changa had a a double ear infection when he came in and has been on antibiotics now and doing so much better. Most likely chronic ear infections are the reason he is 95% deaf. Changa just had a dental done (12 extractions) and is ready to give lots of fresh breath kisses! Changa is a super sweet guy who is getting around great on his own but exhibits some rear-end weakness and possibly some arthritis. He has a prescription for Rimadyl if needed, but has not needed it yet. He goes for daily walks with his foster pack and loves meeting new people and dogs. He will do a little dance for his breakfast and dinner. As most older pups he likes a good warm sweater in this chilly weather. Changa gets along great with the 1 and 9 year old pugs in his foster home + ignores the 2 cats.Who wants to invite this sweet boy into their home???
