PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - RUBBLE BREED - Pug/Beagle mix SIZE - 24 pounds AGE - 11 years GENDER - Male MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Rubble is a wonderful fellow seeking a wonderful human companion! Not only is Rubble adorable, but he is incredibly sweet and gentle. He is both quiet, and clean, and a perfect little sweetheart with everyone he meets. At 11 years old, Rubble loves to nap in a sunny spot. He still sometimes gets the zoomies and has a breakthrough of puppy energy! He enjoys going for walks and playing gently with his human. Rubble is not shy and will immediately become anyone's best friend who is willing to give him attention. He gives the best snuggles! Rubble likes people of all ages and has been in a home with a very small child. He is a quiet fellow who is both crate and house trained. Rubble will make a wonderful companion to a senior who lives independently or with most any family who falls for this charmer. Rubble is in good health, neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. We are seeking a home with a fenced, secure yard will, and with an adopter who would enjoy a perfect companion. Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Rubble and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet Rubble at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting him and determining that he matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner. This special fellow came to us recently from a central NC shelter where he had been found as a stray. Young and joyful, we are delighting in his company and he is stealing our hearts. Little Wembley loves people and he loves other small dogs. He is both a quiet and gentle soul and he would love spending each day right beside his special person! Fully grown at just about 10 pounds, he is a perfect size for most homes! Wembley is in good health and fully vaccinated. He will be neutered and microchipped in early December. Until that time, he is available for adoption only locally to Richmond, VA. We are seeking a home with an adopter able to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with him. Story
Foster Update: Hi! Raleigh is a very good dog! First, he loves to go outside and sniff a lot on nice walks. He can be a bit stubborn, but does not pull. He gets along great with other people and seems fine with other dogs. He does best in a harness because of his fat neck. He is very overweight. He likes to watch TV and he barks at any dogs that bark on screen! He is very affectionate and likes to be around his people, including at night. He is not a fan of being crated and will bark. 10 years old, house trained, good with kids & dogs, no cats. SIR RALEIGH, as his owner affectionately called him, was surrendered when his owner could no longer care for him. He arrived with his housemate, Bruno, and these two may be adopted together or separately. He is good with kids & dogs but no cats, please! Raleigh is house trained and gets nervous riding in cars. Raleigh was so happy to see me heading for him, he barked in excitement. Easy on the leash, we pleasantly walked along to the yard where he enthusiastically sniffed and ran around. He is XL for a little guy and bc of this is considered borderline diabetic so interested families should be ready for lots of walks, exercise and watching his diet.  He can be trusted free to roam in the home and even knows how to use a doggie door! Raleigh loves his person so much he can be a little protective of him or her but it happens only when they are home. As an older dog, he is experienced in living with a family and being part of a family but advanced age can bring about health issues so please be prepared for this.  Raleigh is a fun and happy dude ready to move on. His smile is awesome and his energy is warm. If you are interested in Raleigh, please come meet him in our small dog adoption kennel.  341 S Birdneck Road, VB Open daily 12-5 pm.        Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 5:35 pm
