Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Alvin! Alvin is about 5 years old and we think he is a Puggle. Are you looking for a sweet boy who will snuggle on the sofa for HOURS? Then Alvin is your boy! He is quite timid at first but warms up gradually. At first, he didn't have A CLUE how to walk on the leash. Now he's decided it's pretty awesome! He's a little lean right now but he has an excellent appetite, so he won't be lean for long. Alvin is really "chill" - spends a lot of time napping. He's generally quiet but might have something to say about it when I leave the house;). He's very smart/trainable, crate trained & doing very well on his house training, so far. His fur is a little sparse, at the moment, but good nutrition, fish oil & a stress free environment will resolve that issue very soon. If you're a fan of underbites (like I am!), he's super cute. Between that and his head tilt, when you ask him a question, he'll steal your heart! BONUS - he's dog & cat friendly!!! LOOK NO FURTHER! Alvin is practically perfect!!! Alvin will be neutered on November 5th, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from Canine and Kitties Rescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375.00, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Female, 1.5 years old, 9.5 lbs Personality: loyal, eager-to-please, goofy/funny, quiet, playful, snuggler, timid/fearful, mischievous, and affectionate Minnie may be quiet as a mouse, but don't let that fool you - she's got a big personality with lots of love to give. When not playing with a ball or running around outside, Minnie loves to play with her squeaky tiger and a simple cardboard box. She also treasures her chew bone, which she will bury in her bed for when she wants a snack later. Minnie is a social butterfly who loves all people - especially kids! - and absolutely thrives on attention in all forms. And she loves to play with other dogs, particularly when they are her size! She's also a great companion to take to an outdoor patio, where she's happy to keep herself entertained by people-watching. Once her zoomies are out, Minnie loves to snuggle up on the couch. In fact, she can be the perfect little mini couch potato, especially when belly rubs are on the horizon. Minnie is just waiting for her forever human, who she will love with absolute devotion! She already knows the word "sit and can't wait for the new tricks her forever home will help her learn. Could Minnie be your perfect mini? Apply today to meet Minnie! Follow @big_head_squid for more of Minnie's adventures. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
