Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, Tug McGraw here. I would love to meet you. I am a 2.5 year old , 27 pound pug mix.   My foster mom keeps telling me that I have nothing to be afraid of anymore, but I am still not sure. I will need some time getting to know my new family. My foster family is the best, but something happened in my past, so I don’t have much trust in humans . My foster parents work with me daily to help me overcome my fear.  I am learning but it is a slow process. Please don’t let this scare you away. I want to be loved and I will show you love, but it may take time.    I have never learned to be a dog, so training classes would be great for me! I would love to become the best dog for my new family.    My foster dog sisters and brother are the best. My Husky sister is teaching me everything about being a dog. I do well with both large and small dogs. I would be fine as a solo dog as well.   My foster mom thinks I would do fine with kids once I get to know them. Slow interactions are always a good idea, so I don’t get overwhelmed.    I have never met a cat, but with a slow interaction, my foster mom thinks I would learn to love them.     It appears as though I had never been on a leash until I arrived at my foster parents home. That leash kept chasing me, and I couldn’t get it away from me so it scared me at first. I am finally realizing it won’t hurt me and it means good things. I am still learning about walking on a leash, but I love to smell and explore everything my hairy foster sisters and brother do.   I don’t love my crate and my foster parents have not forced the issue. I do wonderful in the house. I sleep in my dog bed all night without any issues.  I also stay in the house when my parents leave for work or errands. I have not chewed up one thing since joining my foster family. This is great news, right!    A few things about me. I love laying in the grass. I crawl across the lawn as though I am in the army. This makes my parents laugh every time, so it must be cute.  I dance around when it is feeding time. I am very food  and treat motivated.  I will greet you at the door when you come home with dancing feet and a wagging tail . I am just so excited to see you!    Do I sound like the perfect dog for you.? I would love to meet you! Story
Chili Betty is a 2-year-old bundle of sweetness with an adorable underbite that will steal your heart! At 36 pounds, this Pug/Staffy mix (our best guess!) is a calm, low-energy gal who’s ready to leave her days as an amazing mama behind and find her forever home. This chill lady is as easygoing as they come. She’s fantastic with kids—even the little ones—and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Chili is even cat-friendly, preferring to peacefully coexist with her feline friends. She’s a snuggle bug through and through, always ready to give and receive affection from her humans. Fully potty trained, Chili lets you know when she needs to go outside and is a pro at keeping her foster home tidy. While she’s mostly calm and relaxed, her excitement shines when it’s meal time—this girl loves her food! As for toys, she’s a little unsure right now, but we think that once she’s settled into her forever home, she may come to love them. Her calm nature and quiet personality make her a perfect fit for either an apartment or a house—she’s incredibly adaptable. Chili doesn’t ask for much: a cozy bed, a warm home, and a loving human to snuggle with. Are you ready to give this sweet, food-loving, easygoing girl the forever home she deserves? Chili Betty is ready to bring her love and calm vibes into your life! Adopt Chili here: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/671590ddb3611928ee01ef2d Questions? Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs, and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30-day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non-profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
Sawyer is a “Pocket Bully” born in September 2018 with a cleft lip, cleft palate, and spina bifida. He is currently eating and drinking safely on his own and we don’t believe his cleft lip/palate will require any surgical intervention. Sawyer will always need a little extra supervision to make sure he doesn’t eat anything dangerous for him, and will never be able to safely eat wet or goopy foods like canned food, peanut butter, yogurt, or any other liquids other than water. But otherwise he is expected to live a long, healthy life. The spina bifida causes Sawyer to be incontinent and to have some weakness in his back legs. He can walk and get around very well, but he will be in diapers for the rest of his life. He is a very happy, spunky pup and is friendly with humans and other dogs. He needs a committed home willing to give him the extra care he needs to thrive. Sawyer has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and is also micro chipped.
