APPLICATION REQUIRED from www.dashdog.org Adoption Fee $350 ***We don't know how to make this more clear: OUR APPLICATION IS NOT THE PETFINDER APP; OUR APPLICATION IS ON www.dashdog.org. PLEASE complete OUR application if you are interested in meeting our dogs or puppies! Without OUR application being completed, you WILL NOT be considered or receive any communication from us. Thank You! ***AND our listed dogs ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we only meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! IF YOU APPLY and WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND TAKE HIM OR HER HOME!   GOOFBALL GROVER Where do I begin? Well Grover is absolutely not an Australian Shepherd of any kind - so there’s that however he does seem to be a Border Terrier mix giving him some Border Collie-type behaviors. Grover is a hilarious, entertaining, fuzzy-faced mini -mini mighty hot mess of an older puppy who has captivated our household and provided non-stop entertainment. According to many of the AI Breed Research portals Grover’s pictures most often come up under Border Terrier, Puggle depending on the angle, Chihuahua and Chiweenie; we see the Chi but the only dachshund-like feature he has is a longer body than a Chihuahua. Grover is extremely SMART, loves to please and is actually really mellow most of the time. Grover has his favorite plush toy that the same size as him, a Yeti, and a 12-inch untreated rawhide that has quickly dissuaded him from having “puppy-mouthing” behavior! Grover can leap all furniture in a single bound even with the Yeti or bone in his mouth! You don’t have to pick up his toys for him he does it himself and it helps his energy. But really he played for an hour today and has gone from napping on the patio table to napping on my bed! Grover was examined by a vet who said he could be 8-10 months old but he’s very healthy, well-behaved and won over the entire vet staff. He has a cherry-eye which we are working on repairing - I’ll update here but it can possibly be “massaged back in” (not my words; vet said it) or if necessary removed during his upcoming neuter. Regardless Grover is a cutie and for a puppy he’s amazing. He sleeps through the night, he’s crate trained and nearly housebroken, he’s not destructive, he’s not a barker and he would LOVE A BIG DOG PLAYMATE! Finally: he is a snuggle-bug. He is a Larger Breed in his disposition and he is a very affectionate, gentle puppy. We are looking for both Foster or Forever for Grover, a foster with playful dogs is what he deserves. But he’s ready to begin his forever life with the lucky family who is chosen for him! APPLICATION REQUIRED from www.dashdog.org  Adoption Fee $450 - the fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE and is not specific for any dog or puppy; it goes to the expenses of the organization as a whole* OUR APPLICATION IS ON www.dashdog.org and must be completed in order to set up a meeting. Our listed dogs ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we only meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME!   General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Our philosophy is to rescue highly adoptable dogs, have them live kennel-free in private homes for temperament assessments and individual personalities. We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family - kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. OUR VETS WILL NOT PERFORM SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES UNTIL DOG IS 6 MONTHS OLD.  Please READ ALL of our info below BEFORE SENDING APPLICATION. Our goal is to help our puppies and dogs find FOREVER HOMES AND FAMILIES, NOT TO MAKE IT PROHIBITIVE FOR YOU TO ADOPT. However, once we review the application and contact you, we MEET TO ADOPT, so please let us know if you are ONLY APPLYING TO STAY ON FILE or THAT YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT, for the consideration of our puppies and dogs and families who know the time is right! Story
Meet OJ! This tall, 40-pound bundle of joy might be part pug, part Aussie, and all personality. OJ is full of energy, loves his toys, and takes his job of protecting the yard from bunnies, squirrels, birds, and rogue leaves very seriously. He’s a zoomie pro—indoors and out—and would thrive with another playful dog (but no cats, please… he's way too interested in them!). OJ likes it when meals are served on opposite sides of the room from his fur siblings. He’s kennel trained but much prefers snoozing on the bed with his human—just be ready for a bit of snoring. He walks fairly well on a leash but pulls with enthusiasm to explore the world. He’s great with the 3-year-old granddaughter in his foster home, who understands how to respect dogs. That said, due to his excitement and tendency to zoom right past little ones, a home with dog-savvy kids and no fragile seniors would be best—he’s got some strong “accidental linebacker” energy when he jumps to say hi. OJ is a sweet boy learning better manners every day. With continued structure and love, he’ll be an awesome companion for an active household.     ##2353867##

Meet Kimmie, the 2-year-old, 11-pound pug with a heart full of love and a whole lot to say! Kimmie is a sweet, happy girl who adores snuggling up with her people and showering them with kisses. She’s fantastic with children, dogs of all sizes, and even cats — making her the perfect addition to just about any family. While Kimmie does have plenty to chat about, her little bark is more cute than loud, so she’s not one to disturb the peace. She’s great on a leash, rides well in the car, and is always excited to be part of the adventure. If you’re looking for a loving, cheerful companion who will brighten every day with her joyful personality, Kimmie is your girl! She is only around 45lbs, so she is perfect for small homes and travel. Xena is very well-socialized. She is friendly with children, other friendly dogs and senior citizens. Story
Cookie is such a sweetheart! This gentle girl is 6 years old and spent most of her life living outside as a backyard breeder dog. While the indoor dogs received love and care, Cookie was left outside and overlooked. She longed for affection and would run to the neighbor’s house whenever she saw someone outside, hoping for just a little bit of attention. One kind neighbor noticed her and reached out to us, sharing Cookie’s story- and we knew we had to help her. Despite years of neglect, Cookie is incredibly loving and full of joy. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and soaks up every bit of love she receives. She’s currently heartworm positive, but we’ve already started treatment and she’s doing well. ##2376084##
