Story
Petunia (black/7yrs) & Percy (fawn/5yrs) I’m relocating and can’t take them with me. I’ve had both since they were puppies. Both crates trained. They are in their crates 16hrs a day (day/night combined) Both sweet and love each other. Petunia is the dominant one and is more anxious . Percy is chill and loves everyone. Petunia will bark at other dogs or people walking by our house. When warmed up she does fine with anyone. They know a lot of commands like sit, stay, lay down, roll over, outside and in the cage. They will wait for their food and will eat when released with the word “okay” I can no longer care for them as life has been changing constantly and they need a more stable home. Both vaccinated, spayed and microchipped.

Story
Sweet Amber is another Spindletop survivor from last summer's raid and seizure. They killed her friend Stella who was also boarded there. Amber is a special soul. She is a loving and wonderful companion. She is funny and squatty with her red satin-teen collar and will lay around all day if you let her. She loves watching tv with you and just being with humans. Amber is super trained, does down, leave it, off and walks wonderfully on lead. She is as charming and quirky as they come and a truly special dog. Amber, like all of the Animals First and Reunion Rescue dogs, is crate and house-trained, raw fed and homeopathically treated. We have a wonderful foster to adopt program and lifetime guarantee for all our dogs. Please contact doggirl1@earthlink.net to arrange a meet and greet with Amber at the Reunion Rescue No-Kill Refuge.   Visit Amber on Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/pages/Help-Amber-and-Stella-abused-in-Houston/137819022958959?fref=tsMay 22, 2024, 5:48 am

Story
Jordy's like a teenage boy who's yet to grow into his body, mixed with a linebacker who doesn't know his strength. He's hilarious and will tell you exactly why you need to be giving him your undivided attention (he's a bit of a typical bulldog demand barker- he's got A LOT to say;). And we've all heard that cute 'if I fits, I sits' quip. Well, forget the' fit' bit for this guy. He'll sit anyway and use whatever he wants to as a pillow.  Jordy is currently living with another likeminded, couch potato dog, and we think this is a great fit for him.  He'll sometimes pick up a toy, give it a few squeaks, and then immediately plod off to a bathroom somewhere to fall asleep sitting up on the bath mat.  He's not necessarily going to be a play mate for a rowdy dog.  Jordy also doesn't know what personal space is (except when he sometimes shuts the bathroom door to nap in peace...why are you so obsessed with him, foster mom...?) so his dog friend should be ok with him barnacle-ing himself to them during nap times.   Jordy isn't currently living with kids, and we think an adults only home is best for him.  His bulldog communication can be intimidating for a little one, but this guy doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body (he's just a typical demand barker, on occasion, but not excessively).  Also, Jordy has been known to pickup his bowl, boxes he finds lying around, and even a can of dog food to play with if he gets on a mischievous streak.  So we think kids who might leave their toys lying around aren't a good fit for this reason, as well.  Jordy has a pretty narrow trachea (common of really smushy bulldogs) so we recommend he stay on wet food and continue to eat from a raised bowl, like in his foster home.  His forever family also needs to be very mindful of him in hot weather, which shouldn't be a problem because Jord doesn't want to go for walks or romp in the backyard anyway.  Jordy's adoption fee and Austin Bulldog Rescue's adoption application can be found on our website.
