Story
Meet Maui, the ultimate tiny love bug! This 2-year-old, 9-pound cutie is the perfect lap dog—small in size but overflowing with affection. With rescue pups, you never know what delightful mix of traits you’ll get, but one thing’s for sure—Maui is 100% special. Coming from a part of the US where he was one of the most at-risk pups, Maui needs a hero like you. By adopting him, you’re not just saving his life but also making room for another precious soul in need. Fall in love with Maui here: https://youtu.be/-6TfYynqYnU?feature=shared WHY A higher adoption fee? This rescue saves thousands of large breed more difficult dogs every single year and little Maui adoption fee is going to help offset the expenses for another dog that may not receive as much adoption interest right away and have to wait in boarding for an extended period of time. So Little Maui is going to help us save another dog that needs help! Maui is treat-motivated and loves to show off his playful side, especially when there’s a tasty reward involved! He gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home, ranging from 15 to 50 pounds, and has a blast playing with them in the yard. Maui also enjoys the company of his foster family’s grandkids, aged 5 to 15, and is gentle and sweet with them. Whether he's munching on treats, playing with his doggy friends, or curling up in your lap, Maui is happiest when he's having fun and receiving a little reward. This little guy dreams of a loving forever home where he can shower his family with endless affection. If you're looking for a devoted, brave, and playful companion who will stick by your side and brighten your days with his joy, Maui is the perfect fit. He’s ready to bring love and laughter to his new family! Curious about Maui? Have questions or want to see how he fits into your life? Reach out to us! We're excited to make magic happen and find Maui the perfect home where he'll be cherished forever.✨ Apply here: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/66d79fa5f1eaca747d086bb8 Questions? Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
