Story
HI - I'M SONYA! I'm a 2-year-old, 11-pound Pug-Chihuahua mix in need of a forever home! I'm a happy girl who spends my days in a foster home, playing with a few other pups. I would love a home where I could be walked, pampered, and given good food. I would do best in a home with people who are fairly active and who can take me for walks and other outings, as I love to explore! Please email for an application.

We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Story
Meet Lucky Jet Introducing Lucky Jet, an adorable young male Pug born on May 20, 2024. Weighing in at a compact 17 pounds, Lucky Jet is the epitome of charm and affection. His small size makes him perfect for any living situation, whether you have a cozy apartment or a spacious home. Personality Lucky Jet is a delightful companion known for his affectionate and outgoing nature. He is full of energy and loves to play, making him an excellent playmate for children and adults alike. Despite his playful spirit, Lucky Jet is also a fantastic cuddle buddy, always ready to snuggle up and offer warmth and comfort. His loving personality ensures that he quickly becomes the heart of any family he joins. Breed Information Pug Pugs are one of the most beloved toy breeds, famed for their wrinkled faces and charming expressions. Known for their affectionate and sociable nature, Pugs thrive on human companionship and are incredibly loyal. They are sturdy little dogs with a distinct personality, often described as even-tempered and loving. Pugs enjoy playtime but are also content with lounging and cuddling, making them versatile companions for various lifestyles. What to Expect When Adopting Lucky Jet Adopting a dog like Lucky Jet is a joyful experience that comes with several considerations: Training Pugs are intelligent and eager to please, making them relatively easy to train. Consistent positive reinforcement and patience will help Lucky Jet learn commands and good manners. Exercise While Pugs enjoy playtime, they don't require extensive exercise. Daily walks and interactive play sessions will help maintain Lucky Jet's health and prevent obesity, which Pugs are prone to. Socialization Lucky Jet's outgoing nature means he loves meeting new people and other pets. Continued socialization is important to maintain his friendly demeanor and ensure he remains well-adjusted in different environments. Grooming Pugs have short coats that shed moderately. Regular brushing will help control shedding, and routine care of his facial wrinkles is essential to prevent skin issues. Healthcare Regular veterinary check-ups, vaccinations, and a balanced diet are crucial for keeping Lucky Jet healthy. Monitoring his weight and respiratory health is particularly important due to the breed's brachycephalic nature. Companionship Pugs are known for their love of companionship, and Lucky Jet is no exception. He thrives on attention and will be happiest in a home where he is considered a central part of the family. Welcoming Lucky Jet into your life promises endless moments of joy and affection. His playful antics and loving nature will bring warmth and laughter to your home, making him a cherished companion for years to come. Story
Charlotte Good with dogs, cats, kids. Great in kennel. Cautious in beginning with men but once comfortable, very loving. She is still very much getting comfortable with surroundings and will NOT walk on leash so will need a yard while she gets trained. She needs an adopter with patience as she is easily spooked. Charlotte came to the rescue with a broken leg and was pregnant. She was likely hit by a car as her uterus had ruptured and had to be spayed immediately. She has a strong and very sweet spirit and will make someone's family complete. She LOVES kids and is good with other dogs. She has come very far with me in the short time she has been here so I know she will only gain more trust as time goes on. We have no idea what kind of situation she came from other than neglectful, so lets find her the BEST home!! Only the best need apply :) ADOPT DON'T SHOP!!! HER LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!! Local adoption fee is $500 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $800 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)
