Story
Daisy is just a puff of love, wants kisses, belly rubs, and to be cuddled a lot. She is food and treat obsessed. She will do literally anything for a treat but is reluctant to do things by herself without incentive. She is a tad braver than her sister Mini and will kind of throw herself into anything, but it has to be on her own terms. She loves her bone and Kong/Kong treats/training treats. She has the cutest pink and brown spotted belly and lazy left eye...so she is always giving you side eye even when she doesn't mean to. She is hesitant to be put on a leash but once on a leash, loves to go out for walk and is typically the first one out the door. She is slower to learn than Mini but once she puts her mind to it (A.K.A. treat incentive) she comes around pretty quickly. She loves to be wherever you are and will follow you anywhere you go. She cocks her head to the side for any high pitched sound and is very curious.
The sisters often do things together but are not overly bonded and would possibly even do best separated though preferably to homes with other dogs for them to make friends with. Daisy gets pretty bossy with her sister at times.
The girls have discovered how nice it is to have a dog bed and will either stay together or in separate beds. They especially love those beds that are the circular, fluffy kind or the sheepskin kind. They come from a big hoarder case so a soft bed is special to them.
Daisy is leash trained, doggie door trained, and almost fully potty trained though she has to be told to go, lead outside, and watched to make sure she goes. She will watch you the entire time to make sure you're watching her and if you turn away for a second, she will run to you asking for a treat like she went potty but she didn't.
Both girls are obsessed with the Kong and the spray treat that goes inside; not so keen on treats being put inside the Kong. Daisy is far more treat driven than Mini is (Daisy tries to steal everyone's treats with a shark attack, jumping in front of whomever is getting a treat to steal it away). They know the word "sit", "no", "potty", "outside", their names and we're working on "stay", "walk" and "wait" (doing well, but learning).
We are currently training on eating with other dogs to reduce the food aggression that Daisy has and which isn’t uncommon among dogs from hoarding situations. She is being taught how to sit and wait for her meal and wait for others to finish before she licks their bowls. She's doing exceptionally well right now.
Nighttime is a challenge as they were reluctant to go into their crates even with treat enticement; the Kongs at night have eased that a bit and they are now sleeping pretty quickly after their Kong treat is done. They were originally whining and crying for anywhere up to 3 hours before they would sleep but we're down to about 10 minutes now.
Daisy and Mini look like pug mixes. They are estimated to be about 1 year old. They have been spayed. Daisy weighs 12lbs.
