Story
Hi, I`m Chili! I am a middle-aged puggle mix (maybe 8 years old?). I am about 23 lbs, so I am a little guy.I spent my life living outdoors in a kennel with other small dogs. I should be adopted to a home with another dog, ideally a confident and friendly dog, so that I can continue to gain confidence. I live with other dogs from 20 lbs to 100 lbs and do well with all.I am a happy boy and wag my tail and bounce around, but I am lower energy in general. I will be content to lay on a dog bed or couch most of the day. I am still learning that people aren`t so scary, so I need a patient adopter who will keep working with me and give me time and space to come out of my shell.I haven`t met any kids but kids would need to understand that I won`t want to cuddle- I will probably run and hide if there is too much action or someone approaches too quickly. I do just fine with cats. I currently need a fenced yard as I am working on leash walking, but will easily go in and out of the house to get to the fenced yard. I am not destructive when left home outside of a crate unsupervised, but I have traveled in the car in a crate. If you are looking for a chill buddy to work with and help build confidence, that`s me! Hope to find my forever home soon!

Story
MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Spud is a 30-pound Pug with a big personality and an even bigger heart! This happy little guy loves people and absolutely thrives on attention — belly rubs, head scratches, forehead kisses… he’s here for all of it. He’s great with dogs and kids, though he will politely (or not-so-politely) inform any cats that he is not interested in their friendship. Spud is potty trained and crate trained, though he’s definitely not shy about voicing his opinion when he’d like to come out — especially when you get home! Spud is obsessed with squeaky toys and squeaky balls, and he plays beautifully with other dogs, backing off like a gentleman when they need a break. If things get a little too exciting or busy, he just needs a quick moment to decompress before he’s ready to jump back in. This boy is very treat motivated which makes training fun and easy for him (and great entertainment for you). Spud is loyal, playful, affectionate, and just the right amount of sassy. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly companion who will make you smile and laugh every single day, Spud is your guy! If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training, & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Age: 3 years Adoption Fee: $400
