Story
Between December 1st and 17th, part of my adoption fee is sponsored! Thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters campaign, my new family can take me home for $25! Meet Pongo! Pongo is a 3 year old, 33 pound, sweet as can be pup! While his parents are unknown, Pongo resembles a Boston Terrier on stilts and he has the most hilarious ears that stand up and then flop over to the side. They are too cute! Pongo is a higher energy guy that loves to play! While he does well with his furry foster siblings, he does tend to participate in high energy play, which might be off putting to some dogs. He would do very well in a home with another dog that likes to play and isn't intimidated by Pongo being in their face. Pongo is very sweet to all humans in his foster home, but the best permanent home would be one without small children. Pongo is well behaved in his crate and is working hard to perfect potty training. He would do best in a home willing to participate in professional training to help Pongo become his best self. This young guy is looking for his perfect forever family, filled with love, play and lots of walks! If that sounds like you - apply today! Pongo's adoption fee is $275. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet SKYWALKER,  a goofy, chunky Boston Terrier mix looking for a home. Skywalker is a bouncy boy who loves to do zoomies in the yard and jumps for joy whenever he sees a friend.  Skywalker has a beautiful dark brindle coat and a bobtail. He's around 2 years old and fully grown at 28 pounds. Skywalker is a bit of a chick magnet and does seem to prefer women. This guy is best suited to life in a quiet home with his trusted people. Skywalker needs room to run and is best suited to a home with a physically fenced yard suitable for zoomies.  If you'd like to  meet Skywalker, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet for an approved adopter. You can meet Skywalker at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 22, 2024, 10:42 am
