Story
I'm an almost 7 year old Pug mix weighing a little over 30 lbs! I'm a slow-moving girl and I like to take it nice and easy. I'm happy to hang out by your side all day and be a snuggly little couch potato. Don't get me wrong, I do like walks! I'm not the type to make it a mile, though. A quick lap around the backyard or neighborhood is all I really need. I haven't shown much interest in anything that isn't getting attention, though I may like some toys when I'm comfortable in my own home!I've been nervous around other dogs, even ones smaller and older than me, so I'd prefer to be the only dog in the home. Cats I'm okay with! Kids I'm also pretty okay with, though I'd prefer older ones since the high energy may freak me out a little.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE Age: 4 months (as of 3/4/25) Weight: 9 lbs (as of 2/21/25) Location: RI This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Meet Joey B, also known as “Chugs”, a lively puppy full of love and energy. He's playful, always ready for a game of fetch or a romp in the yard. But he's equally content to curl up in your lap, his warm presence a comforting cuddle at the end of a long day. Chugs adores everyone he meets, greeting all with a wagging tail and bright eyes full of affection. He's a fan of dress-up, always up for donning a cute outfit and being the center of attention. His love for being carried and caressed is second to none. But what sets Chugs apart is his ability to love unconditionally. His heart is as big as his spirit, and he's ready to share that love with a forever family. He has done with with dogs of all sizes.  He has seen a cat through a gate with good body language, but no experience with interacting with a cat.  Being just a pup, he will have so much to learn! He'll need house training, crate training and will need to learn to walk on a leash. We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog. Chugs is more than a rescue, he's a companion, a friend, and a bundle of joy waiting to brighten up your life. Adopt him and experience the boundless love of a pet who will cherish every moment spent with you. An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:   Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org)   **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 12, 2025, 5:27 pm
