Story
Meet June Bug, an 12 week old pug mix puppy from the south of Texas-these guys are social and friendly, love to play and just too adorable. Josie is one of the largest of the litter and expected to be about 20 pounds. June Bug has a very small "cherry eye", a painless condition that pugs are known for...we are planning on having it fixed when she is a little older (at our expense at our vet) and will be happy to discuss this further with adopter. PLEASE NOTE- AN APPLICATION FROM THE WEBSITE ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG IS REQUIRED prior to any meet and greet. Calling, emailing and using the “contact us” link is not useful and will delay your consideration in the adoption of the dog. Petfinder inquires are not sent to us. The adoption fee is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including age appropriate vaccinations, worming, flea/tick preventative and spay/neuter. Puppies under 6 months of age may go to adoptive homes before they are spayed/neutered with a spay/neuter contract. Adopters who choose to adopt a puppy that has not yet been spayed/neutered are subject to an additional deposit of $100 (refundable upon proof of spay/neuter prior to the contracted date.) Included in the adoption fee, the rescue will arrange spay/neuter by a partner vet at a predetermined appointment when the puppy is between 7-9 months of age. It is the responsibility of the adopter to bring the adopted puppy back to the rescue vet for spaying/neutering or, if they choose, to send verification from their own vet (at the adopter's own cost) that the puppy had been spayed/neutered. All of our dogs will be microchipped. APPLY AT ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG (click on the word "Adopt" at top of page to find the dropdown menu with application) Because our dogs are in foster homes, applications are required prior to setting up any appointments. Calling or emailing may delay your consideration. Find our application on our website, almosthomedogs.org, then click on "Adopt" tab at top We are a non profit no kill 501 (c)3 rescue. Please understand that we do our best to describe our dogs but often we rescue them with virtually no information about them and often our best educated guess can be challenging. Currently check, cash or venmo is preferred payment

Story
It’s Puggle Time! Meet Hijinx, 19 month old puggle parkour expert! With his pug-featured face/markings, exuberant & energetic personality, Hijinx is a great dog for an active family or individual. He loves to cuddle as much as he loves to play & explore his surroundings. Left to his own devices, he will leap surface-to-surface to explore all kinds of elevated areas, so good thing he is crate trained 😂🤣. Hijinx is child, dog, & cat friendly. A stray for a prolonged period of his life, he has been a bit slow to master housebreaking, so having him wear a belly band when indoors is strongly recommended. He is a friendly, very affectionate goofball in search of his furever home. Attributes: Child friendly Dog friendly Cat safe Crate trained Needs to wear belly band indoors Walks well on leash Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
This is Milo , he was born 4/9/2024. He is about 20 lbs. Has rabies shots only. He loves to play fetch and chew on toys. He has a lot of energy and will need someone who has time to play and take him on walks. He lives with 2 dogs now and gets along good but does fight with them time to time. He will need to sleep next to you in bed at night. He is not neutered but only has one testicle. He is very lovable and needs a forever home.

Story
~Adoptable Rosie Adoptable Diana~ Meet the cutest 4-5 pound girls you ever did meet! Rosie and Diana, along with their other 3 littermates (2 males/1 more female who will be listed soon) are believed to be pug mixes. They are tiny and so precious! Rosie is more outgoing and bossy, and Diana is more laid back and snuggly, but they are both incredibly sweet! We are looking for committed adopters, willing to take their new puppy out routinely for potty breaks, who will use positive reinforcement training techniques, and adopters willing to make a lifetime adoption commitment. They are doing great with crate training, although they may regress a bit once they each go to a new home/environment. They are 8 week old puppies, so potty training is new, and frequent accidents are developmentally appropriate for this age. The puppies are microchipped, on monthly prevention, have been dewormed, and are up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations for an adoption fee of $450 each. $50 will be refunded after proof of age appropriate spay. Please complete an application below if you are interested in meeting one of these girls or one of their littermates! You will most definitely fall in love! https://form.jotform.com/fairytailsrescuemd/dogpuppy-adoption-application #fairytailsrescuemaryland #adoptme #fureverhomeneeded  #maryland #adoptabledog #adoptable #rescuedFebruary 18, 2025, 5:01 pm

Story
Bandit, came to us along with Buddy and Hershey because their owner had stage 4 lung cancer and could no longer care for them. She's super scared and sweet and you just want to help her. The man kept these dogs in crates for seven years. Everything is over stimulation for her. Overall she’s doing very well considering her entire world has been erased and there's so much around new to get used to. She is very very sweet. I believe she’s half bull dog—she has the bull dog snort. She weighs 38 lbs. She lived with other dogs in her life ---both males and females and she lived another male and a cat in her foster home. At first she wasn’t overly friendly with the dogs here but has adjusted after a slow introduction. Bandit is spayed, up to date with vaccinations, and microchipped. She is also housetrained. She is also missing one eye, which causes her no problem. If interested in Bandit contact applications@boxertransfer.org
