Frank already knows several commands — sit, down, shake, off, and kennel up — and he’s kennel trained, making him a great candidate for continued training and structure. He’s a smart boy who enjoys learning and thrives when he has space to run and burn off energy. Hello. My name is Dutchess&#44 and Im a 9-year-old Boston Terrier looking for a soft place to land. My life changed recently in a way I didnt expect. My person loved me&#44 but they couldnt take care of me anymore&#44 and they made the heartbreaking choice to bring me here so I could have a chance at something better. I didnt understand at first&#44 and honestly&#44 Im still trying to make sense of it all.<br/><br/>Shelter life is overwhelming for me. Im a sensitive girl&#44 and when Im scared&#44 it can come out as a little crankiness. Im not trying to be difficult - Im just unsure of everything right now. Once I feel safe&#44 my softer side shows through: the part of me that loves warm laps&#44 gentle voices&#44 and quiet moments with someone I trust.<br/><br/>Ive always been a bit particular about my dog friends. Im not the type who wants to play with every dog I meet&#44 and thats okay. I prefer calm&#44 respectful companions&#44 and Im perfectly happy being someones one-and-only too. What matters most to me is feeling secure and understood.<br/><br/>What Im hoping for now is a home where someone sees past my worry and notices the sweet dog underneath. Someone patient enough to let me settle in at my own pace&#44 and kind enough to show me that Im safe again.
