Story
To help us make a great fit for you, and any of our dogs as well, please include information about yourself(Home, family, yard/fence, work hours, other pets...) and/or use our application at sparrowdogs.com. Those emails will get the quickest response, we do the best we can, but if we have to follow up with an email asking you about yourself and waiting for a response, well, we have already moved on to the next email that has provided the details. We are doing the best we can to find the right home for each dog or cat, just need your help too! :) He's BAAAAAACK!!! Cello was adopted by a loving couple, and they adored him. He was doing so well and acclimating to their home for the most part. But....he just could not get past city living, he was right in the midst of all Chicago has to offer. Some dogs would thrive on all the activities and dog friendly environment, but, for a guy like Cello, country life is for me!! Cello has the Pug look as well, but is a little taller. He looks like a Pug/Shepard mix, also called a Shug. If you google this mix you will see a couple dogs that look just like Cello. It is possible to have different fathers for the same littler of pups, so that could explain their differences. How fun to have such a unique little dog, and what a potentially odd combination!! Cello had come in with his brother, Banjo. He is happily in a home with his new family(not big city living either, but not country). He is doing well. Cello is fine with the noises in our area, cars, motorcycles, farm equipment and such, but perhaps he was just too overstimulated in Chicago. He loves other dogs, enjoys playing in the yard, is a happy and loving guy. Cello is pretty laid back, housebroken, listens well and is not much of a barker. He would be a great chill type companion for someone that might like a hiking partner, has other dogs that need a pal, or just a best buddy. He would do well with an experienced dog owner, and probably would do better in a home without small children. He is just 4 years old and about 30 pounds. (they put on a little weight here, but are working on shedding a couple pounds!)Cello's adoption fee is $250, now $150!! Cello has waited long enough for his very own family, we just want him to have a loving home. He will go home with tons of supplies to help him settle into their new home! I am good with people & other dogs, and my foster mom thinks I'd do just fine with kids and cats too! I love giving people kisses too!! I am working on learning how to walk on a leash, but im getting better each and every day! Overall im a pretty easy going girl! If I sound like the girl for you, apply today to adopt me!! My adoption fee is $625

Story
Moose is a sweet and affectionate dog who recently found himself at Helping Paws after his family, unable to provide the environment he needed, made the difficult decision to relinquish him. In his previous home, Moose had some challenges with the very young child who would often take his toys or get too much in his face. Moose would do best in a home with older children or adults, where he can comfortably share his toys and receive the love and attention he craves. He's a true love bug who loves to be loved, often climbing up your leg seeking pets and affection. Initially shy, Moose quickly warms up to show his affectionate and gentle nature. In addition to his loving personality, Moose is potty trained and has great leash manners, making him a delightful companion for walks and outdoor adventures. Moose is looking for a forever home with older children or adults who can provide him with the care and affection he so deserves. If you're ready to welcome a loving and well-mannered dog into your life, Moose might just be the perfect addition to your family.D.O.B: 6-8-22

Story
Elvis is looking for his forever home! He is part of a bonded pair (check out Gravy, his partner in crime). Elvis is special needs and will need a lot of patience and kindness. He has to wear a male wrap daily. Elvis has a collapsed trachea and requires daily medication. He needs to live in a cold environment, or in a home with air conditioning, as he will have breathing issues if he overheats or gets too warm. If you want to give Elvis and his pal Gravy some extra TLC find us on FB or our website tailsoftheforgottenpaws.org to fill out an application for these sweet souls!
