Story
Kissy is about 8 years, does take thyroid meds, and is a bit fearful of going out at night or in the rain though making progress with a human who can lead her.   Who knows what she went through before rescue!  She is so very sweet, walks well on a leash, has done well with all the dogs she has met and has a gentle personality.  If you are looking for a sweet gal, submit an application and meet Kissy!July 6, 2024, 9:39 am

To help us make a great fit for you, and any of our dogs as well, please include information about yourself(Home, family, yard/fence, work hours, other pets...) and/or use our application at sparrowdogs.com. Those emails will get the quickest response, we do the best we can, but if we have to follow up with an email asking you about yourself and waiting for a response, well, we have already moved on to the next email that has provided the details. We are doing the best we can to find the right home for each dog or cat, just need your help too! :) He's BAAAAAACK!!! Cello was adopted by a loving couple, and they adored him. He was doing so well and acclimating to their home for the most part. But....he just could not get past city living, he was right in the midst of all Chicago has to offer. Some dogs would thrive on all the activities and dog friendly environment, but, for a guy like Cello, country life is for me!! Cello has the Pug look as well, but is a little taller. He looks like a Pug/Shepard mix, also called a Shug. If you google this mix you will see a couple dogs that look just like Cello. It is possible to have different fathers for the same littler of pups, so that could explain their differences. How fun to have such a unique little dog, and what a potentially odd combination!! Cello had come in with his brother, Banjo. He is happily in a home with his new family(not big city living either, but not country). He is doing well. Cello is fine with the noises in our area, cars, motorcycles, farm equipment and such, but perhaps he was just too overstimulated in Chicago. He loves other dogs, enjoys playing in the yard, is a happy and loving guy. Cello is pretty laid back, housebroken, listens well and is not much of a barker. He would be a great chill type companion for someone that might like a hiking partner, has other dogs that need a pal, or just a best buddy. He would do well with an experienced dog owner, and probably would do better in a home without small children. He is just 4 years old and about 30 pounds. (they put on a little weight here, but are working on shedding a couple pounds!)Cello's adoption fee is $250, now $150!! Cello has waited long enough for his very own family, we just want him to have a loving home. He will go home with tons of supplies to help him settle into their new home! Story
Rudy is a 1.5 year old, 40lb terrier/pug mix looking for his new home! He loves to run around investigating the grounds and rolling around in the grass. He has great form with summersaults too. Rudy is a nervous dog who will need a less busy home with plenty of patience. Ideally, he would do best with someone with experience with nervous dogs. He needs consistency and routines so he can comfortably expect what is coming.
