Story
Rudy is a 1.5 year old, 40lb terrier/pug mix looking for his new home! He loves to run around investigating the grounds and rolling around in the grass. He has great form with summersaults too. Rudy is a nervous dog who will need a less busy home with plenty of patience. Ideally, he would do best with someone with experience with nervous dogs. He needs consistency and routines so he can comfortably expect what is coming.

Story
Meet Chicky! She is ~12 + Year old pug who is a just the best girl! She gets along with other dogs, cats, and kids- but she does not share food and should be fed separately to avoid any conflicts. Chicky does have IVDD (Intervertebral disc disease) which does have an affect on her mobility. Her rear end has weakened and she has some muscle atrophy. Care must be taken to avoid back injury which could render her rear paralyzed. She cannot/should not do stairs and should be carried up and down, supervised when on furniture, etc. Chicky also should be on daily over the counter eye drops and lubricant for life. Chicky's adoption donation of $395 helps cover the cost of her veterinary care. In addition to the regular vetting she has also had a full dental and a consultation at an eye specialist. Application, reference checks, and home visit required. Adopters must live 1.5 hours driving distance from Romeoville, IL. For more information on adopting, please email us at info@perfectpooches.org. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.perfectpooches.org under the Adoption Process tab. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested (age appropriate), fecal tested and/or dewormed, and microchipped.

Story
Welcome Dozer! He came to us as a breeder surrender. He is said to be approximately 5 years old and weighs approx 20 lbs. He is a sweet boy who got his name because he is like a bulldozer - happy and friendly, but no problems with running into anything in his path. He is good with other dogs, but would recommend dogs that would be ok with his bull-in-a-china-shop personality. He does have an issue with his left eye, which we are getting evaluated by our vet. Dozer's adoption donation of $450 helps cover the cost of his medical care. To help us make a great fit for you, and any of our dogs as well, please include information about yourself(Home, family, yard/fence, work hours, other pets...) and/or use our application at sparrowdogs.com. Those emails will get the quickest response, we do the best we can, but if we have to follow up with an email asking you about yourself and waiting for a response, well, we have already moved on to the next email that has provided the details. We are doing the best we can to find the right home for each dog or cat, just need your help too! :) He's BAAAAAACK!!! Cello was adopted by a loving couple, and they adored him. He was doing so well and acclimating to their home for the most part. But....he just could not get past city living, he was right in the midst of all Chicago has to offer. Some dogs would thrive on all the activities and dog friendly environment, but, for a guy like Cello, country life is for me!! Cello has the Pug look as well, but is a little taller. He looks like a Pug/Shepard mix, also called a Shug. If you google this mix you will see a couple dogs that look just like Cello. It is possible to have different fathers for the same littler of pups, so that could explain their differences. How fun to have such a unique little dog, and what a potentially odd combination!! Cello had come in with his brother, Banjo. He is happily in a home with his new family(not big city living either, but not country). He is doing well. Cello is fine with the noises in our area, cars, motorcycles, farm equipment and such, but perhaps he was just too overstimulated in Chicago. He loves other dogs, enjoys playing in the yard, is a happy and loving guy. Cello is pretty laid back, housebroken, listens well and is not much of a barker. He would be a great chill type companion for someone that might like a hiking partner, has other dogs that need a pal, or just a best buddy. He would do well with an experienced dog owner, and probably would do better in a home without small children. He is just 4 years old and about 30 pounds. (they put on a little weight here, but are working on shedding a couple pounds!)Cello's adoption fee is $250, now $150!! Cello has waited long enough for his very own family, we just want him to have a loving home. He will go home with tons of supplies to help him settle into their new home! Please email Kristine at joysparrows@gmail.com.

Story
Brindle is the embodiment of "puppy" in that she is extremely playful, incredibly loving, and just wants to be loved. When around other dogs or children, she wants to live life to its fullest. When not around them, and alone with an adult will either play with her toys and keep herself occupied or seek love and attention and potentially a place to nap with her adult. Brindle was found outside the doors of Eisenhower Middle School. We believe she was looking to expand her education. Brindle also goes by the nickname Brendy or Brindy. Brindle has displayed some resource guarding behaviors around her food bowl that her foster parents are working on with her. She is progressing well! Her favorite toy is anything that squeaks that can also be chewed on and her favorite song is Raining Blood by Slayer, she is a rockin' pup! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
