Story
Hello! My name is Bean, a wonderful 10 year old boy. I have the true spirit of a pug. I am a loving companion and love nothing better than being with my human and pet family. My humans and I romp and play in the backyard, wander and sniff the plants and grass, and play with toys. When it is time to chill or hang out, I am great with that too. I get along with my foster family’s 2 dogs and the cats. (I don’t really play with the cats, but we live together in peace.) I have a bit of a curved spine which affects my mobility slightly. I can walk and trot, but need someone to help me up the steps often. I can do the steps by myself, but it is harder and I can stumble. Sometimes, my foster mom goes inside the house for a minute and she’ll find me up the steps and on the deck! Due to my curved spine I do have neurological struggles and I need to be let out to go to the bathroom frequently. This helps me avoid accidents in the house ( which happens once in a while). I do my very best to avoid these though! I am a good boy during the day and can be left out and trusted not to damage anything. At night, I love to cuddle with my human, but I can sleep in a crate just as well. I am a trim, fit pug and that helps improve my mobility. My eyes can get dry and my foster mom will put eye drops in them to help. I would be perfect for a human & pet family who loves a cuddly, fun senior with a lot of life left in him. Bean is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, heart worm negative and on heartworm preventative, de-wormed, had a dental, and microchipped. Bean’s adoption fee is $300.00. Story
Hello! My name is Lola. I am a five-year-old, apricot colored pug. I am a gentle pug with a heart of gold. My foster mom tells me I approach my days with a perfect blend of gentleness and engagement. I love to be in the middle of what is going on, be involved in the fun, yet I am content to observe, follow along, and don’t need to be in charge. I am shy, but not introverted or solitary. I love belly rubs, laying out in the green grass, and exploring the yard. I would do well in a home as an only pet OR as a companion for other calmer dog(s). Sometimes the very high energy dogs cause me to sit back and stay out of the way. I don’t mind cats and they don’t mind me. I love hanging out with my humans; snuggles and pets are top notch! In the house, I like to carry around a toy, share a cozy bed with the calmer dogs, and just chill. At night, I like to cuddle and like to take a toy to bed. I prefer to eat in private; I am not possessive of my food, I am just shy when eating. I am careful to sniff and check out any treats. My foster mom says I am not as food motivated as other pugs. She wonders how I gained some of the weight I have. (I do have some pounds to lose, and am working on that.) Sometimes I like some private time in a crate by myself. After that, I like to be back with my humans. I am a bit scared of stairs. I am working on that too and am doing very well. I am potty trained. I have had a few potty accidents, but my foster mom thinks that is only due to my gentle nature and adjusting to a new environment. I have been left at home alone for several hours with no accidents and can be trusted to be a “good girl.” My foster mom tells me many families would be lucky to adopt me! Lola is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, heart worm negative and on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. Lola’s adoption fee is $325.00. Story
Brindle is the embodiment of "puppy" in that she is extremely playful, incredibly loving, and just wants to be loved. When around other dogs or children, she wants to live life to its fullest. When not around them, and alone with an adult will either play with her toys and keep herself occupied or seek love and attention and potentially a place to nap with her adult. Brindle was found outside the doors of Eisenhower Middle School. We believe she was looking to expand her education. Brindle also goes by the nickname Brendy or Brindy. Brindle has displayed some resource guarding behaviors around her food bowl that her foster parents are working on with her. She is progressing well! Her favorite toy is anything that squeaks that can also be chewed on and her favorite song is Raining Blood by Slayer, she is a rockin' pup! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
