ADOPT ZELDA! Updated breed info! We need to address the obvious. I am a Pug mix, but I’m tall and thin. As the DNA report shows, I’m a Pug/Malinois mix. So I’m easy to train. I don’t have the breathing issues, but I have the cutesy under bite and unique eyes. So here’s more about me. I love toys, dogs and kids. If a kid is playing with a ball I want to join. I am doing great with basic training. Boy do I like my food, which is great for my continued training. I’m houstrained. Overnight & when my foster mom is not home I stay in my crate. Zelda is up to date on vaccinations for her age, neutered, microchipped & current on heartworm & flea preventatives. Zelda’s adoption fee is $450. We have had both Clarke and Lois (brother and sister) for about 5 years. Clarke loves people and to be scratched. Of the two, he is the one who most likely follows me around the house. He prefers being inside... we let them in our back yard but he often wants to immediately come back inside. He can be a little territorial in certain situations, but once he warms to someone, he is a pushover. Lois and Clarke never really got along with each other; they occasionally fight because they are not good at sharing, though that has gotten better over the years. When we take them to be boarded, we always get positive reviews and generally it seems like he gets along OK with other dogs once he is used to them. He is good with our kids. Overall though, they would probably be happier in separate homes, though other pets might be OK after some adjustment. In general, we are looking for a new home because our new young one is allergic to dogs.

We have had both Lois and Clarke (brother and sister) for about 5 years. Lois loves people and to be scratched, but she is shy at first. She likes hanging outside and checking out the neighborhood. She can be a little shy and uncertain of people at first, but once she warms to someone, she is very friendly. Lois and Clarke never really got along with each other; they occasionally fight because they are not good at sharing, though that has gotten better over the years. Goodness, what can we say? Maple is indeed adorable! She is a 7 year old, 22 pound, Pug with a friendly disposition! She is gentle and sweet with everyone she meets - her specialty is showering new friends with kisses :) She's very energetic and full of curiosity. She loves to explore every nook and cranny of her foster home! She sticks by her foster mom's side, always ready to be a darling helper. Maple is working on all her basic training. She settles in her crate once she's in it, and she's working on going potty outside. She has the cutest face and a lovely temperament to match! She'll be a delightful addition to any home that where she will get lots of love from her people! Let us know if you'd like to meet miss Maple! Maple's adoption fee is $600

Mr. Robin is looking for his forever home! He is around 7 years old. He is the sweetest boy and good with kids, other dogs, and cats. He is half Boston Terrier and half Beagle, around 7. Robin developed some separation anxiety after a big move / changing in-person office schedules / return to travel, and we realize that we are not the best home for him. Robin would do best in a household with a yard, that has a lot of human or animal friends to spend most of the day with infrequent travel. He would like to join a big family or maybe an older couple! Robin has medium energy, and loves nothing more than a long walk and then napping or snuggling the rest of the day. Robin has been working hard on his separation anxiety and is able to be alone for 5 hours at a time. He is crate trained for bedtime. We hope his new family can maintain his medicine and some training. The medication is ordered online for around $30/month.

Nike is a 50-pound, seven-month-old, happy, fun, snuggly and playful male Bulldog/Terrier-mix puppy looking for a loving guardian. Nike is such a good-natured dog and has no idea that he’s differently-abled. His legs are extremely bowed with a front limb deformity. That doesn’t stop him from chasing balls and rough-housing with dog friends. Because he can injure himself on concrete, he is best playing in a soft grassy yard. His walks on sidewalks have so far been limited. This guy is as sweet as they come. He just loves people of all ages, and other dogs. We think he’ll be about 60 pounds full-grown. He is looking for a very special family who will take him into their heart and home. He is smart, loving and very eager to please. He might enjoy cats, more than they enjoy him. Nike is housebroken when taken out regularly, crate-trained, and learning his commands. He is very food focused and just loves belly rubs. He’s currently doing physical therapy and massage in Chicago. He is not a candidate for surgery. But, he may at times wear booties and braces to protect and guide his legs into the right position. Nike is otherwise very healthy, vaccinated for rabies, distemper and bordetella, microchipped, fecal-tested and de-wormed. He will be neutered in the near future.
