PLEASE READ ALL. Contact Debbie at 209-607-7464 or deb0625@yahoo.com This is long but I want to make sure people read and understand this breed. Phoebe and Pugsley are waiting for their loving home . Please share and please know I will be very particular on where they go. I will be taking applications for the next two weeks to insure I’m finding them the home that meets their needs and also yours which isn’t hard since they are so sweet. Please don’t take offense to that. I know what’s best for them. Contact me at deb0625@yahoo.com or 209-607-7464 and tell me why you think you wouid be the best home for these two sweethearts. PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO AND INFORMATION ABOUT PUGS. Thank you . 🙂 Meet Pugsly Malone and Phoebe Buffay. Both are fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Pugsly is guessed to be around 4-5 years and Phoebe around 2-3. Since they were found as strays, this is just a guess on their age. Both are loving, affectionate, playful, sweet pugs for being so neglected by their owner. Please read adoption requirements below before inquiring about this bonded pair. Thank you. Requirements for adoption ✅ Home owner ✅ Home check ✅ Secured fenced in yard ✅ Financially stable to care for all their needs including their medical needs if and when needed. ✅ Must have an established veterinarian that I can call to verify you stayed up on any past pets vaccines and medical needs. ✅ Breed experience ✅ This is a bonded pair. They must be adopted together and stay together for the remainder of their lives ✅Must be committed to continuing their potty training. They were made to live outside so they didn’t know any better but they are so much better going potty outside with the others. Rarely any accidents now. ✅ Would prefer a home with a dog door ✅ Would like for them to be the only two dogs so they can enjoy all the attention but that’s not a deal breaker. ✅ Must be pre-approved before meeting the pugs (including all adults in the home) ✅ Pugs are being fostered in Sonora. You must come to Sonora to meet them. ✅ Adoption fee $350 (for both not each) ABOUT PUGS * Sleep: Pugs are known to sleep up to 14 hours a day but all pugs are different * Wrinkles: Pugs' wrinkles can pose a risk of infection, so they need to be dried thoroughly after bathing. * Short snouts: This can cause: Allergies. Story
Meet Dot - this beautiful pug lady is estimated 6 to 8 years old. She was picked up as a stray by a shelter in Southern California and transported to us because of the poor condition she was in. Dot was in terrible shape, emaciated with cataracts caused by untreated diabetes. After several months in our rescue she is now in wonderful shape. Her blood work looks great, her diabetes is easily managed with a shot 2x a day with her meals, and she’s otherwise a healthy and happy gal. Dot is funny, playful, loving and smart. Her reduced vision and diabetes does not change who she is as a companion. She’s the pinnacle of pug!! Her insulin costs $20/a month and is simple to keep up on. While many people may feel intimidated by her diabetes, it’s a simple thing to manage in dogs (very different from diabetes in humans). We’re hopeful someone will see how incredible this puggy girl is and want to be her forever home. She’s still so kind and trusting even after all the neglect she has suffered.

Story
Rizzi Roo is a Miniature Dachshund/Pug mix. She is 10 years old (birthday 12/10/2014) and weighs around 15 lbs. She is very friendly and will bark at newcomers at first but quickly settles down and wants to be petted and loved. She is quite active and runs around our property and enjoys walks (great on leash). Rizzi loves to play with her stuffed toys, chomp on a chewy, lay in the sun, and snuggle up with you. She has had regular vet care, vaccines and preventatives as well as yearly dentals. She is a spunky little love bug who does well with both women and men but does prefer women.

Apply to adopt by clicking on the link below http://www.wagsandwhiskerspetrescue.com/adopt.html Thank you so much for looking into wags and whiskers for your next family member. All of our pets are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested if over 6 months old and will be spayed or neutered before being allowed to go home.  Unfortunately, we don't always know the background of each dog. Some were dumped, abandoned in an empty house, left tied to a tree, picked up by animal control as strays, or simply unwanted by their owners. Please take into consideration that owning a pet is a 10+ year commitment and discuss with all members of your family before submitting an application to adopt.  If you have already filled out an online adoption application with our organization in the last 6 months you do not need to fill out another application. Please call or email us to schedule an appointment.  530-895-8888 If you are interested in meeting this pet please apply to adopt at http://www.wagsandwhiskerspetrescue.com/adopt.html if the pet is still available for adoption and you are approved to adopt we will contact you to set up a meet and greet appointment.    November 10, 2024, 6:27 pm
