Story
Popeye is a young adult pug, maybe 1-2 years old! He is neutered, up to date on shots, potty trained, and crate trained. Popeye is loving his foster life and loves to play and meet new people and other dogs! In the middle of Dec 2024, we heard he was stuck in Mexico with a painful eye injury so we had to jump in and take him to our veterinarian in Westwood immediately. We knew his right eye was okay, but we were certain the left eye would need to be removed. In an absolute miracle against all odds, our veterinarian did extensive testing on the eye and was able to suture it partially closed while his foster gave medications and now, the sutures are removed and the eye is healing beautifully! Our veterinarian gave Popeye the blessing of being able to keep his eye, but even after healing, it is not 'aesthetically normal looking'. It looks a little wild, but it is healing wonderfully and Popeye is not in any pain or discomfort anymore. He does not require any special care or medication, and is not special needs. He is just a normal pug with a crazy looking eye! :) If you'd like to adopt this adventure-pug dreamboat, apply today!
