Story
Meet Bravo! This ridiculously adorable pug came to us from Oakland Animal Services after being found as a stray. We estimate hes about 4 years old, and hes just as sweet as he looks. His foster lovingly calls him Teddy, like the teddy bear that he is, and more than anything, he wants to be loved and cuddled by his people. He adores head scratches and neck rubs and will gently place a paw on you if you stop, just to ask for a little more. A classic velcro pug, he happily follows his person from room to room and has no concept of personal space. He does well with other dogs and kids, but his favorite place is right next to his person. The unfortunate news is that Bravo has a medical condition affecting his spine; he was born with a collapsed disc, which causes some weakness in his back legs and isnt something that can be surgically corrected. He also has some inflammation and early arthritis in his left knee. What does that mean for daily life? Bravo will need anti-inflammatory medication long term, and his activity should be limited to things like wandering around the yard, short walks, or relaxing rides in a stroller. In homes with stairs, hell need to be carried and use ramps to help protect his back. He may benefit from supportive therapies like acupuncture, injections to manage pain, and physical therapy, and his activity will need to stay on the lighter side. The good news is that Bravo is perfectly happy living a slower-paced life. His favorite thing is simply being close to his people and soaking up all the love and attention he can get. Hell thrive with a special adopter who sees how wonderful he is and is ready to give him the support and care he needs throughout his life. Bravo is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and currently being fostered in the North Bay.

Story
Meet Ava! Ava is a sweet, social, and mellow eight-year-old girl who is ready to find a cozy place to call home. Bring her anywhere and shes the star of the show; shell greet anyone and flop on her back for a good belly rub. Shes potty trained and comfortable using a dog door, and her favorite place to be is right in the middle of a good pug pile or curled up on your feet. She has the cutest habit of gently suckling on a toy to soothe herself, and she absolutely loves being held. Ava has a playful little streak, too. She takes great pride in thoroughly murdering her toys and has been known to sneak off with a sock or two if laundry is left unattended. Shes curious, smart, and still eager to learn, with a soft, quiet bark that is almost too adorable to handle. She also loves car rides and is happy to tag along wherever you go. Her previous owner shared that she does well with kids and cats, and she has been great with other dogs as well. She truly is an easygoing little companion. Ava came to us as an owner surrender along with two other pugs after their owner fell on hard times and could no longer care for them. When our friends at @pughotel took them in for us, all three were in pretty rough shape. After plenty of baths, flea treatment, and lots of TLC, they are already looking and feeling so much better. Ava is spayed and had a dental cleaning as well as blood work which was all normal. She is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative tested, and microchipped. She is currently being fostered in Hayward, CA.

Story
Meet Jeffrey (or as his foster parents call him, Jeffy)! Are you looking for a new best bud? A professional cuddle pal? Your go-to guy? Your short-walk-on-the-beach companion? Your tiny, snorting shadow? Well, have we got the gentleman for you. Jeffy is about five years old and came to us as an owner surrender along with two other pugs after their owner fell on hard times and could no longer care for them. When our friends at @pughotel took them in for us, all three were in pretty rough shape. But after plenty of baths, flea treatment, and lots of TLC, theyre already looking so much better. Jeffy is currently being fostered with a pit bull, another pug, and a cat and he truly could not care less about any of them. His real dream is to be carried around like a baby by you. You may want to start strengthening your back (or invest in a baby carrier) if you plan to keep this funny little guy happy. Once he settles in and learns the lay of the land, Jeffy will happily be your companion in everything you do. His favorite activities include gazing lovingly at you, following you from room to room, accepting treats for being a very good boy, and being held like a baby while you watch TV. Hes currently working on his potty and crate training and will need a patient adopter who understands that his whole world was recently turned upside down. Jeffy deserves a loving home thats willing to give him time, consistency, and kindness as he adjusts. Jeffy is being fostered in Sacramento and is neutered and got a dental cleaning on Monday, March 23. He is now vaccinated and microchipped, so he's all set for his next chapter.

Story
Have you heard the phrase, a face only a mother could love? Well, let us introduce you to the inspiration for it. Meet Guppy! This little guy may not have won the genetics lottery, but what he lacks in looks he makes up for in charm. He could be a pug mix, he could not be. Perhaps bulldog? Only a DNA test will reveal the truth. Do we really know his age? Could he be 2 or 7, who is to say? He was born without his right eye, has a uniquely shaped head, a major underbite, and an endearing wobbly walk. He came to us from the California Central Valley with a few other pugs after his owner went into a nursing home without a care plan. Guppy is looking for a home where he can chew on toys, lounge the day away, and follow his person like a shadow. Hes crate-trained, and while hes still working on potty training, a consistent routine will help him get back on track after being shuffled around these last few weeks. He's good with confident cats and dogs of all sizes, but we suspect he would be happy as an only-dog, too. If youre searching for a quirky, one-of-a-kind companion, Guppy just might be the pug for you! He's being fostered in Rohnert Park through The Pug Hotel.

**Located in San Francisco** Meet Opal 💕 Opal is a 5-year-old, very small English Bulldog mix with a big personality and an even bigger fan club. This little princess has already captured the hearts of everyone she meets — seriously, people fall in love with her within minutes. She is up-to-date on vaccinations, house trained, dog friendly, and kid friendly, making her a wonderful candidate for many types of homes. Story
Buggie was named after a ladybug, since she was in need of some good luck! She was a stray in need of lots of TLC. She was malnourished and had a previous eye injury that left her in pain. She has endured so much and still craves love. She is almost 100% blind, and sometimes gets startled. But once she feels comfortable with you all she wants is to be near you, play, and get all of the belly rubs! She will actually somersault onto her back to be in prime position for scratches. She loves walks, car rides, anything she can be apart of! She LOVES to play with toys, and tuck herself completely under blankets for optimal warmth. She is not a fan of other dogs. As her vision worsened, it became apparent the best thing for her is to be the only dog in a home. This girl is so so special, and only about 5 years old. She has so much life left to live and wants to live it! She needs someone special to love her & never abandon her again. Apply for more info on this one of a kind love bug!
