Story
Unfortunate events brought this strong bonded pug family to us. Fani the mom is the glue that holds them together. She is sweet as pie and will always give you love when you are in need. Gumbo the father is the brawn and protector of the family, he will never let them down. Don’t let his older age fool you, he can keep up with the youngest in the pen! Pierogi the son, can be a little rambunctious and prefers to be the center of attention. He’s got an undeniable wild side, but he’s a mommas boy at heart. He loves to clean his moms ears and snuggle up close to her when it’s time to nap. And last of all we have Jilly Puff, the darling daughter and lover of dresses. Jilly Puff is everyone’s best friend and has amazing fun energy. She will be the first to grab a toy and say “let’s play”. This family lost their previous owner a little while back and were brought to us in hopes of finding them a new forever home. We like to observe bonded dogs that come in before really considering them bonded, and it did not take long to realize that this family needed to stay together, no matter what. They have all been examined by our vet with only minor ailments to address. As well as getting them on the right diet since they were quite overweight upon their arrival. We hope there is someone out there with a home and heart big enough to give this family the security and love they need.

Story
Snowman was found as a stray before coming to the rescue. We can’t be certain what his life was like before, but it seems like it’s been a while since he’s felt kindness from humans. He’s timid with introductions, but if you’re calm and patient with him, he’ll warm up and become relaxed and comfortable around you in no time! He loves cuddling and receiving belly rubs from the people he’s deemed trustworthy. Snowman was recently adopted, but became reactive with his new owner's friend, so they needed to rehome him. Snowman seems to prefer women to men and isn't very warm to strangers. However, “Snowy” is incredibly food motivated and he wanted us to let you know that treats are the way to his heart! Snowy isn’t a fan of loud, sudden noises so he would do best in a calm home without small children. He is a very sweet and gentle boy once he’s able to collect his bearings. Snowy does well with other dogs and loves to play with his stuffed animals. We aren’t sure what Snowy’s mixed with, but there’s some suspicion he’s part Corgi due to his large chest and short legs. Whatever his mix is, he’s 100% perfect in our eyes and we hope you see it too! Please inquire today if you're interested in Snowman!

Story
Paso's journey hasn't been easy, but he's a survivor with a heart full of untapped potential. Originally discovered as a stray, he found himself in a shelter where life threw him some curveballs. While at the shelter, Paso experienced several seizures, and he was reactive towards shelter staff. The shelter recognized Paso's need for specialized care, so they reached out to us for help. With open hearts and open arms, we welcomed Paso into our rescue. Since joining us, Paso has not experienced any seizures, thanks to the medication that is managing his condition. However, Paso will require continued medical management for his seizures for his whole life.Paso's journey has left him with some emotional scars, and he's shown signs of aggression towards our staff. He has a bite history, but he's a dog who's been through a lot, and it's going to take a very special person to help him heal and build trust. Paso is yearning for someone who can show him the love he's been missing in his life.Paso needs someone with lots of patience and understanding. He has been through a lot, and he will need time to adjust to a new home and a new life. He needs to go to a home with no Children. Due to his history of reactivity and unpredictable behavior, Paso cannot be placed in a home with children. He would thrive best as the only dog in his future home. While Paso's journey has been difficult, he is worth every ounce of effort. He's waiting for the right person to come along, someone who understands that trust takes time to build. With your love, patience, and dedication, Paso can bloom into the loving, faithful companion he's meant to be.If you are that special person willing to give Paso the second chance he deserves, please inquire today!

Story
Wilbur is a pint-sized dynamo with a heart as big as his personality. This fiery boy has faced some unique challenges in his young life, but he's determined to find a forever home filled with love and understanding. As a tiny puppy, Wilbur had a bit of a rough start when he was dropped, causing a noticeable bump to form on his forehead. His journey has led him to the caring hands of our team and a dedicated neurologist who found he has a condition called meningocele. He developed this from being dropped and sustaining a crack in his skull. Some fluid and brain matter leaked into the bump from the crack. Surgery is not an option for Wilbur, so he will be professionally fitted with a helmet once he is full grown. His ideal owner will be local because once he is full grown, he will need to return to his trusted neurologist for the fitting. This little guy is full of spirit and spunk. While he's not a fan of being picked up, he absolutely adores spending time outdoors, where he can spin around like a whirlwind and zoom with pure happiness. Wilbur enjoys the company of other dogs and, once he trusts you, he becomes the sweetest, most affectionate companion.Wilbur does have some neurological issues that make his movements unique, but they only add to his charm and make him all the more special. We have high hopes that there's a loving home out there ready to embrace Wilbur's uniqueness and provide him with the care and attention he needs to thrive. Please reach out to us for more information about this wonderful little guy!

Story
Meet Solecito, a resilient and spirited 2-year-old pup with a heart as big as his will to overcome adversity. Solecito's journey to us was marked by odd circumstances, as he was relinquished under a cloud of mystery. The person who surrendered him claimed he had been fine until a few days before, when a tragic accident left him paralyzed in his hind limbs.Upon closer examination, our veterinary team discovered the heartbreaking truth—Solecito had been silently suffering for months. A fractured vertebra near the top of his spine had robbed him of his ability to walk, and his hind limbs were now permanently paralyzed. The neglect he endured was evident in severe urine scaling on his belly and legs, along with rashes from dragging himself on the ground.Despite the challenges Solecito faced, his indomitable spirit shines through. The window for surgical intervention has closed, but that doesn't dampen Solecito's zest for life. He may require special care, including having his bladder and bowels expressed several times a day, but he takes it all in stride, proving to be a good sport throughout.Affectionately known as "Soley," this resilient canine is a social butterfly who adores people and gets along famously with other dogs. His love knows no bounds, and his enthusiasm for life is contagious. Solecito is an expert cuddler, always eager to be the center of attention. When mealtime approaches, he revs up his back legs, displaying a silly and endearing ritual that warms the hearts of those lucky enough to witness it.Solecito's ideal adopter is someone with experience in caring for special needs dogs, as he requires a bit of extra attention and care. A loving and patient individual who can be present for him, ensuring he gets the special care he deserves, would make the perfect match for this extraordinary canine. While Solecito's past may be marked by hardship, his future is filled with the promise of a better life. He's ready to embark on a new chapter, surrounded by the love and care he so richly deserves. If you're ready to open your heart to Solecito and be part of his journey, he's eagerly waiting to become a cherished member of your family. Please inquire today!
