Thanks for reading our post. We rescued Canelo in December of 2024. Canelo was found in a homeless encampment and had a variety of health issues. We have 20+ years experience with bulldogs, so we took him in and helped nurse him back to relative health. In November 2025, Canelo started having persistent GI issues and was later diagnosed with Lymphangiectasia - an intestinal disease with no cure. He has been on a course of a low fat diet, along with steroids and other medications in order to help control the disease. It has proven to be very challenging for our household to manage this situation. It breaks our heart to rehome him because he is otherwise *perfect*. He is a special dog with a special set of needs and we do not take rehoming him lightly. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
