Story
Magtheradon is her actual name from the kennel we rescued her from, but we call her Maggie for short. She doesn't usually answer to either name, because she's stone deaf. Those with keen eyes will notice she is missing one. She unfortunately got a tumor, and we had to have the eye removed to save her. Like a geriatric cyclops, she mostly wanders from space to space, startled by everything as it seems to just appear next to her. She's used to being a princess and demands a lot of attention. She's house broken, knows several commands, and is a gentle, quirky and loving lap dog. Since she cant hear the commands anymore, she mostly just sticks her paw out at you and hopes that's what you want. She's amazing with children and other pets, and is low maintenance. Unfortunately, our son was just diagnosed SEVERELY allergic to her, so for his health we cant keep her anymore. We're hoping someone is willing to give her back as much love as she gives. We cannot say enough about this absolute little doll. Olive is VERY loving, friendly with everyone, affectionate and kind. She is gentle and we never hear a peep from her. She MUST snuggle. Other dogs not required but she is polite with other dogs. Cat friendly. Please Olive is an adult dog and we do not want her adopted out for a child. Story
Meet Tilly, one of the cutest little fur balls you will ever meet. Tilly came to Southpaw through a friend of ours who saw him starving on the side of the road. She quickly pulled over, just to have Tilly run into the street and almost get hit by a school bus. Luckly, at the last minute, he turned around and ran into her arms. At the time, Tilly's ribs and entire spine were extremely visible. He was starving. But that is the past. With good food and plenty of love, Tilly is thriving in rescue. He is playful and sweet. He absolutely loves to cuddle. He is great with all people and dogs. He walks well on a leash but may need a bit of training to not pull so much. He is so excited for adventure. Tilly is looking for a forever home which can shower him with tons of love and affection. He likes to sit on his foster mom's lap and will let you carry him around like a baby. He likes to cuddle and watch TV and sleep near you. Tilly is set to get neutered, vaccinated and microchipped this week. If you are looking for a fun little dog who you can shower all your love and affection on, Tilly is your guy!

Story
Gabby is a senior pure-bred pug rescued from the San Bernadino Shelter. We think she is about 14 years old. We have had Gabby in rescue for a while before putting her up for adoption because she was a mess when we pulled her. Missing fur, flea infested, infected ear, infected eyes causing blindness and the biggest hernia we have ever seen. Her whole intestines and liver were through the hernia causing a huge ball under her belly which she needed to drag with her everywhere. Thanks to donations, amazing vet care and a foster who wouldn't give up, Gabby is ready for adoption. She will always be blind and need drops in her eyes, but you will quickly realize it does not stop her as she runs around like she can see. Gabby is very social with people and good with children. She adores attention and wants to always be cuddled up with her person. Gabby is good with other dogs but would do wonderful as the only dog as long as she is getting tons of attention. If you are looking for a cuddle bug couch potato who doesn't need lots of exercise, but does snore in bed, Gabby is your girl! Adoption donation is $100.
