Story
Tanny is a loving and funny girl! She is extroverted, brave, vocal, and full of life. Very loving to humans and gets along with other dogs. She lives indoors and goes out on a pee pee pad. Tanny does not like to share her bowl of kibble while she eats. She can be an escape artist, so please be careful with front and side door. She has to go to a very secure home with good fencing/security.

Story
Meet Viejito! Viejito was surrendered to the San Diego Humane Society because his owners had too many animals. We scooped him up on January 6th to become a Frosted Face. Viejito is 8 years old and weighs 33 lbs. His previous family shared this information about him: The shelter reported: "Viejito is a sweet dog who's not shy about letting you know when he's ready for some attention. Having lived with multiple dogs before, he's well-socialized and enjoys the company of his furry friends. Viejito is treat motivated, loves being pet, and will happily lean into your touch." Viejito went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn more about him in a home setting. His Fling Dad reports: "Viejito is such a good dog. He took to our house rules very quickly. He sleeps through the night with no accidents or noise. He is food driven, which makes him eager to learn whatever will get him a treat. It's easy training if you take advantage of that and are consistent. He didn't seem to respond to his name at first, but by the end of the first week he would come when called. He really wants to please people! Viejito would bark at men in hats outside, but then he was happy to meet them for pets and kisses. I am a man that wears a hat outside, but he never barked at me, so I guess not every man in a hat is scary! Viejito likes to give kisses, and we limited how much he licked our infant son, but we were never worried about bites or scratches. He's great with babies! Viejito loves hugs and being held; he will come lean on you for more pets or roll over so you can pet his belly. He likes chew toys. He loves to play. He loves walks. He loves life! Viejito had big bursts of playful energy, and would otherwise just chill out and sleep with our other dog. He was very excited in the morning and around dinner time. Our longest walk was a little over a mile, because that's all our older dog can handle. Viejito could have kept going. Viejito would be an amazing and loving companion for any family. He is a gem!" Viejito is currently on a second Fling while he waits for a forever home. Might that be with you? Please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org to meet this special boy!

Story
Meet Bowler! Bowler entered Orange County Animal Care as a stray. When he wasn't claimed, we scooped him up on January 15th. Bowler is estimated to be 10 years old, and he weighs 27 lbs. Bowler is a very sweet boy who does well with other, enjoys going for walks, and loves head scratches! Although he somehow ended up at the shelter, it's evident that Bowler has spent most of his life as a devoted companion. Bowler is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we can learned what he is like in a home. We are so happy this sweet boy is getting lots of love and pampering - just like he deserves! His Fling Mom reports: "Bowler is a wonderful pug! He is very chill and relaxed around my two pugs. He loves exploring the front and backyard both enclosed. He picked up our routines quickly by watching them. Bowler wants to be with his human, but when I am at work, he is happy to hang out with my dogs and did not have separation anxiety. Bowler is a very easy-going dog. I have never heard him bark. He makes lots of other pug sounds like chortling, but no barking. Bowler loves to go on a walk, ride in the car, or lay at your feet or on the couch. He likes to sleep in bed with me and my dogs. Bowler is not a picky eater and not reactive about food with my dogs. He likes treats and takes them gently out of your hand. When we went to my daughter's house to visit and have dinner, Bowler was very well-behaved and gentle with my 2 1/2 year old grandchild. He settled down and was comfortable with everyone there, and they loved him." Check back for the full report on Bowler's Fling!

Story
Adoption Event: Saturday 10/08/22 at Petsmart: 877 E H St, Chula Vista, CA 91910 From 3:30 to 6 pm - Come and meet our sweet, loving, funny pug puppy Chico:) he is a joy to have around. He loves people, kids, and loves to play with other dogs although when he first meets he barks at them because he wants to play. We encourage experience pug experience adopters to apply for him. He is a purebred baby boy who was being neglected by his previous owners, leaving him outside and not feeding him. In spite of this bad beginning for him, he is so amazingly lovable. His foster family loves him so much that they are offering to dog sit whenever his new family will need a dog sitter:) He is a small breed, and he is currently at 18 lbs - he has a nice shining black coat :) Chico loves to play with his toys, specially with balls, loves them:) he is very fast, and very active:) He is leashed trained - loves to go for walks and he is potty trained - however, he just got neutered and he will need to be redirected to his new potty training areas as he is still a puppy and changing environment of homes will need the additional guidance. He will not last long - we are taking appointments for this weekend - Are you ready to give him a forever home? If so, Please text at 619-576-0747 as 1st way of contact or email veronica.aaofusa@gmail.com or visit our website at www.aaofus.org and complete our application at the following link: http://aaofus.org/adoption-application.html . *Note: Our website has been giving us some issues - if you have a problem logging in please text Veronica at 619-576-0747. If approved, the adoption coordinator will reach out to you to schedule a Meet-and-Greet appointment. No appointments will be made unless we have received an application; therefore, we can match you with the best fit for you. Follow us on Instagram @aaofus where you can see more pics. Please allow 48 hours to process applications and respond back to set up appointments. Unfortunately, responses back to those who do not qualify are not possible due to high volume of applications. Donation Adoption fee includes up-to-date yearly 3 puppy DHLPP vaccinations, spaying or neutering, deworming, flea medication, and a complementary health check up by a participating clinic near you. Please consider adopting one (or more!) of these fur babies! Due to high volume of calls; NO PHONE calls are accepted at this time - therefore, please text us or email us.- A minute of conscious - Please read:) We ask you Please to be SERIOUS adopters; as there have been so many people that are not ready. We set up meet & greet appointments, do a home visit or send them the address for some meet & greet locations, paperwork and suddenly they said they are not ready or spouse is not ready, etc. These fur kids have a very hard day the day of their appointment. Due to travelling we hold their food, so they won't get car sick. We bath them, some of them are schedule for grooming as you know it is stressful for them; then they have to travel with us picking up other rescued fur kids, and so on, it is a very stressful hard day for them for people to just cancel at last minute or not show up or do show up and just say they are not ready. Our time as well as your time is valuable. Please don't waste valuable time that is so precious for a rescued pet. Every single wasted time is a time that an animal will die because we didn't get to them on time to help them. In addition, of wasting gas and grooming fees which are paid by volunteers.. LIVE!! LOVE!! LAUGH!! ADOPT A RESCUED HOMELESS PET AND SAVE A LIFE!!
