If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.   Adoption Fee: $550   Mitzvah is a 1 year old Pug x Beagle (Puggle) mix who’s looking forward to meeting her forever people! Mitzvah was rescued from the shelter where she was surrendered for reasons unknown. What we do know is Mitzvah is ready to paw-ty it up with her new people! Mitzvah weighs 22 pounds and has that adorable Pug frowny face that those who love the breed will fall madly in love with. Our gal is pretty perfect in every way! Want to learn more about Marvelous Mitzvah? Keep on reading and then bring her home!     Mitzvah is a loyal and cuddly girl looking for her forever people to help her blossom! Like a cat, Mitzvah takes a few days to get comfortable, but once she chooses you as her people, she’s ready for a lifetime of love and snuggles. She chose a spot on the couch, snagged the softest blanket, and made herself feel right at home! Mitzvah would love to find a person who can let her stay close and hang out. She would be a fabulous option for someone who works from home and wants a buddy. She’s playful and energetic when she’s in the mood for her toys but can also be calm when she’s ready for some snuggles on the couch. As our gal builds her confidence, we expect more of her playful side to emerge. She’d be thrilled to discover a chest of toys in her new living room once you take her home! Mitzvah is super smart as well, and is motivated by affection from her people. All she wants to do is make you happy and that makes her smile and wag her little tail! If you’re ready for a calm and cuddly little buddy who can keep you company on the colder winter nights, you’ve met your match with Mitzvah!  Mitzvah wakes up around 6 AM and goes out for play and potty before zooming back inside for breakfast. She gets free play until around 8 AM where she gets another walk around the apartment complex. While her foster mom works, she amuses herself with her toys and her naps. She is a champion snoozer! She goes out every few hours for potty breaks before she gets a long walk in the evening. She has dinner at 6 PM. In the evening, Mitzvah hangs out on the couch as she gets all the best snuggles. She gets herself ready for bed by going out once more for potty and then she heads into her crate for the night.  Mitzvah would do best in a home with a confident canine sibling to show her the ropes. She plays with the resident cat. Older kids and adults who don’t instantly overwhelm her with attention would be her ideal forever environment. Our ideal home for Mitzvah is one where she can grow her confidence and thrive!      Mitzvah is only an option for homes who currently own a dog or have some experience with dog ownership. She would prefer a home without small children; teens are fine.December 17, 2024, 4:45 am

These little royals came to our rescue at only five weeks old, their owner had an accidental litter and surrendered them to us so we could search the lands for their perfect happily ever afters! This litter is five perfect princesses, each more adorable than the last. Since they joined the rescue, they’ve been spreading magic and wonder wherever they go. We expect these future queens to be in the 10-15 pound range when they are fully grown. Come find your storybook companion today as the Disney Princess posse takes their place on the stage!      Ariel (The Adventurer): Ariel has a curiosity as boundless as the ocean, and she is always ready to explore every nook and cranny she can. She wants to be where the people are, as she delights you with her playful antics by diving headfirst into new adventures. Every day with Ariel is a day of smiles and laughter, from the minute she wakes up to the second she goes to bed. Whether she’s splashing in the water bowl or chasing a gizmo that catches her eye, she brings the magic of the sea to every moment. She’s even ready to eat at the table with a squeaky toy dinglehopper. Ariel is ready to show you that life under her seafoam gaze is better than anything you’ve got up there! Like her namesake, she has a reddish colored coat which stands out from the pack! She can’t wait to run and play all day in the sun with you, just as soon as she gets her land legs!  Mulan (The Champion): Mulan is a fearless leader who is brave and bold, despite her petite size. She’s the first to stand up for her sisters and will courageously face any challenge, whether that threat is an invading Hun Army or a blade of glass that looks at her wrong. Her loyalty is as fierce as her courage, and her playful yet protective energy will make her your loyal sidekick on every adventure you have planned. She will make a hu(man) who is obsessed with their perfect puppy out of you from the moment she trots into your arms and makes herself right at home. Our gal is hoping that someday soon her reflection can show her the happy, loving forever home she knows is out there! Mulan will bring honor to you, whether at puppy school or at the dog park. Just strap in and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime!    Life in the magic kingdom starts around 7:30 AM for these princesses. They wake up ready for potty, playtime, and food! After they finish their breakfast, they spend their mornings and afternoons playing, practicing for ruling, snuggling, napping, and sneaking all the treats they can! They love exploring the yard and can spend hours sniffing every fallen leaf and butterfly that floats by them. They get their evening meal at 6 PM, followed by an evening of cuddles and kisses. They each get some individual attention as the house starts to wind down. They head into their pen for a peaceful night of snuggles by 11 PM.  The Princesses have been well socialized with dogs of all ages and sizes. They love making new human friends as well and have attended several puppy parties, where everyone oohs and aahs over how adorable they are. Interested homes should be ready to continue their training and socialization, but they have received an incredible start in their foster home. Each princess is ready to bring a touch of Disney magic to their forever castle as they share endless love, laughter, and enchantment. Who will be your happily ever after?      The Disney Princesses are only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last 5 years. Kids should be over the age of 5.December 17, 2024, 4:45 am

Story
FOSTER CARE! Hi, I'm Hagrid! I'm a 2.5 year old, neutered Pug/Terrier mix who weighs about 35lbs. I'm a happy, silly, confident dog with a lot of energy! I enjoy running and playing with people and dogs alike, so I would love to go home with an active family. I'm also a huge fan of belly rubs! Because I'm still working on my manners around food and small animals, I'd do best in an adults-only home, ideally with someone experienced with spunky dogs like me! I can't wait to find my fur-ever family! For more information about me, follow the steps below and be sure to ask for me: Hagrid ID# A924198 Since I’m not at the adoption center, you can make arrangements to meet me by emailing behavior@phs-spca.org You may also submit your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to behavior@phs-spca.org and a staff member will call you to conduct a phone interview before making an appointment to meet me in person. You must be 18 or older to submit a profile.  Application: https://phs-spca.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/AdoptionProfiles_dog2023_fillin.pdf *The application may not work on mobile devices and iPads. Please call (650) 340-7022 for assistance. Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Puppy 2 was found along with her sister (Puppy 1). Both puppies showed outside a friend’s home in Modesto, CA. I have the puppies under my care to avoid being at a shelter. Puppy 2 is looking for a loving home as her sister has found one already. She is about 8 weeks old and the breed isn’t clear. She appears to be a chihuahua/pug mix. Puppy 2 is very friendly and loves to play. Her first vet exam was on 11/19/2024. She got 3 vaccines which are the ones listed below: -DAPP Vaccination (Distemper Vaccine)-This vaccine protects against Canine Distemper Virus, Canine Adenovirus types 1 & 2, Canine Parainfluenza Virus, & Canine Parvovirus -Bordetella -Praziquantel to treat any worms Additional she was given a dosage of Simparica to treat any fleas, worms, ticks, and heart worms. The puppy will require booster shots in 3 weeks. I will provide you with their paperwork and all of that info! Feel free to contact me with any questions.
