Story
Would you love an active best friend that could run with you or chase a ball all day? Bowser would love nothing more than to join you on your daily adventures. His foster mom says he has all-day energy, but is happy to chill out for cuddles on the couch as well. He is described as smart and very trainable. Offer him a treat and he will look to please and be your best friend. Bowser would do best in a calm home in a quiet neighborhood. Give this loving guy a chance and you'll get an active best friend for life. Bowser weighs 20 pounds.

Story
Thelma is sweet, smart, energetic, loyal, and goofy! She is fully house-trained and is working on her leash skills which have really improved with her current foster family. She gets along well with other dogs and older kids. (She has not been introduced to cats yet.) She can be a bit anxious, so she probably needs someone who is mostly home. She loves her squeaky toys and playing tug-a-war with other dogs. Rub her tummy and she gets blissed out. Super friendly on walks-wants to say hello to everybody: canine and human. Loves to run full speed when she can. Meet this 18-pound gal by filling out an application and a volunteer will contact you. (JH)

Story
I have a very well behaved, 7 year old male pug that needs a loving home with one of the following: - another friendly dog - children - an owner who will be able to spend significant time with him His name is Salt and his partner Pepper passed away. Since then he has been more alone than I would like. Due to changes at work, I am not able to spend the amount of time with him that he needs and I think he would be much happier with a family that can give him more of the time and care he needs. This is not a decision I am taking lightly, so please tell me a bit about yourself and what Salt's life will be like if you'd like to adopt him. Salt is a cuddle bug, hilarious, a talker but not a barker, treat obsessed, house trained, a car trip buddy, and loves playing with kids. He is under-socialized with big dogs, and may get scared of them but gets along well with small dogs right away.

Story
Pug / Dachshund Mix Age: ≈ 4 years old Female, spayed 15 lbs Adoption Fee: $125 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Cheerio came to the Sacramento County Shelter underweight and with an embedded foxtail in her neck. It was removed surgically, but post-op they had trouble stopping the bleeding. She tested negative for any blood clotting disorder - perhaps the surgery nicked an artery? Eventually, the bleeding stopped, but it left her anemic. The shelter needed a rescue group that specializes in medical cases to continue addressing her veterinary needs. Over time in foster care, her anemia improved and she gained her weight back. She is a very friendly, sweet dog. She likes attention and affection from her foster parents and volunteers. She likes roughhousing with the younger, larger dogs in her foster home. She doesn’t like being confined or kept away from the activities of the home. Crate training would be pretty difficult - lots of barking. Apartment living may not be the best option for her. We have no experience with her as an only dog. We would recommend that she go to a home with other playful, friendly dogs. Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13. Story
My name is Tic and I am "Chug", Pug and Chihuahua mix. I came to Jelly's as a little baby along with my Mom and 9 sibling puppies. Most of my brothers and sisters were adopted, but a few of us are left. We don't know why, as we are loving, sweet, friendly little dogs who are longing to have a family of our own. I will need some help with potty training, but otherwise I love people, children, and other dogs. I can't wait to be adopted and maybe get some training classes to help me be a better version of myself. Good news! I was just sponsored by a family who believes in me and they will help with my adoption fee. I am neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Please email us at info@jellysplace.org if you want to meeet me!
