Story
Our De’Anthony has plenty in common with the Warrior of the same name. He’s a long-legged utility guy who’s always ready to come off the bench to play big minutes. Then again, he’s also a pug with zero basketball IQ, the markings of a Siamese cat and the expression of a disappointed soothsayer. In other words, perfect as dogs go; point guard, not so much. He’s a sweet lover of people, a friend to follow pups, playful, curious, and a big believer in eating between meals. He likes a party, walkies, and may do stairs after lessons involving treats. In the market for a handsome extrovert looking for fun and scratchies? Come and get him!

Story
We get a lot of fun mixes at Muttville, but one of the most adorable is the chug, or chihuahua pug. Although you might think our girl Abby is a cross between a potato and a seal (especially if you don’t spot her ears), she actually has the short stubby legs of a chihuahua, the toasted to perfection fur color of a chihuahua, but just enough of a smushy face for you to see the pug resemblance. Abby is perpetually cool as a cucumber – she takes everything in stride and it takes a real force of nature to move her from her snuggle spot. If you’re looking for a furry friend who will be a firm fixture on your couch, Abby would like to submit her resume.

Story
We love Grin's crooked smile  and his super-soft fur. Grin is about 8 years old and currently a bit over 16 pounds. He loves people and is super affectionate with his person; he loves to cuddle and would like a home where he is allowed in the family bed. That said, he is not needy and he is crate trained and will sleep quietly all night in his crate. &#226&#128&#139Grin seems like a cross between a Puggle (Pug/Beagle) and   another breed. He has some of the looks of a Puggle, but not all. Grin lives with 3 other dogs and is great with them. He plays well with his foster sisters and respects the senior dog in the house. He would do fine with other dogs, or as an only dog. He is house trained and knows how to use a dog door. Grin walks well on leash and is great on neighborhood walks where other dogs are also on leash. He will bark at off-leash dogs that run towards him, his foster is working on this and he is doing very well, but he would not at this time do well in off-leash dog parks. He is fine meeting new dogs in his home or their home, and has made friends with some dogs he has met on walks (the key is when their people give him treats). Grin would be fine in a home with older, dog-savvy kids. He is fine with visiting children. If you are looking for love,  Grin may be the guy you are looking for.   Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Grin is $200. If you are interested in adopting Grin, please complete our online adoption application at https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/ . One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area. See our other available dogs at  https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/available-dogs/ November 7, 2025, 8:47 pm

Story
Casey is a 17 lb pug mix - like most pugs, Casey seems to be affectionate, playful, and adaptable. Casey had one of her eyes removed prior to coming to us due to a previous injury, which just makes her look even more unique! We are still getting to know her, but we can say this is one sweet girl.
