NAME:Sandra Dee aka SandySTATS:Female, Pug/Chi mix, 3ish years, 10 lbs.TEMPERAMENT:Friendly.Shy at first and warms up.Active (puppy energy).Breed needs air conditioning* (see note below)SKILLSPotty trained.Crate trained.Leash trained.Good with children.Good with dogs.Has not been exposed to cats.MORE ABOUT ME:Likes belly rubs.Couch cuddler.Likes walks.Likes playing with other dogs.Would benefit from Basic Training Class.ONE LAST THING:Sandy is very lovable! She loves being around people and other dogs. She would do well with children over 7. She loves to play, but doesn't mind hanging out with you in bed snuggling. She is active and likes walks around the neighborhood and then may come in and do zoomies around the room :). She's potty trained and great in a crate. Would do well with basic training class.Because Sandy is a pug mix she has a shorter nasal cavity and can overheat more easily than longer-snout pups. Breed needs air conditioning.November 7, 2024, 2:27 pm

Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $850   The Squash puppies are a pair of 8 week old Pug x French Bulldog mixes ready to bring the hearty, sweet flavors of the season to their forever homes. These babies arrived at our rescue with Mama Squash at only a week old and have been raised in an amazing foster home ever since. This sister duo are now all grown up and ready to find amazing forever homes ready to shower them in love and kisses. We expect the puppies to be in the small-medium size range when fully grown. Homes with flat-face breed experience will be prioritized. Come order up some Squash today!      Acorn: Acorn is a playful and outgoing girl who’s ready to take on the world… after she gets her cuddles, of course! Acorn has a reddish coloring that absolutely shines as she races around the yard, chasing after her toys and her sister. Acorn captures all the eyes in the room as she demonstrates her playful antics, from snatching a toy bigger than her body in triumph to launching herself into your lap for cuddles. She is absolutely fearless and has no idea she isn't a “big dog” like her canine foster sibling. We know that Acorn will melt your heart with one blink of her puppy dog eyes. You’ll be helpless to resist her charms and will want to spoil her forever and ever!   Delicata: Delicata is a cuddly and loving princess who knows how to get down for a good snuggle! While this little lady loves to play her heart out in the yard, she’s also content to snooze the day away as she hangs out on your lap. She would be a fabulous WFH mascot as she’s always down to show off how adorable she is to her fans, both on and off camera. Prepare for an endless stream of admirers when you take on the town with Delicata. We know she will provide countless hours of fun and love. What more could you want from an adorable little Pug with a heart of gold!    The Squash puppies wake up around 7 AM after sleeping through the night in their pen. They have three meals during the day: 8 AM, 1 PM, and 5 PM. During the day, they cycle between playing with toys, cuddling with their foster humans, racing around the yard, and exploring their surroundings. They love their cuddle time and are always ready for a nap on a warm lap or blanket. They also follow around the resident dog. In the evening, they play some more and then watch TV with their foster people until they head into their pen for the night.  The Squash puppies have been well socialized with the resident dog and cat. They would be a fabulous addition to a home with a resident dog but could also fly solo. Interested homes should be prepared to discuss plans for continued training and socialization. Pug lovers won’t find a better puppy than a Squash Sister! Head down to the DPS Farmer’s Market and scoop up some Squash today!      The Squash puppies are only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last 5 years. Kids should be over the age of 8. December 20, 2024, 1:23 pm

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $800   The Ski puppies are a litter of 10 week old Pug mixes who are ready to hit the slopes with their new families! These babies came into our rescue at a month old with Mama Ski Bunny after being surrendered to the shelter, which is no place for a little family. We sprung into action and got them into a foster home, where they grew up into amazing little puppies. This litter is 2 boys and 2 girls. We estimate their adult weights will be between 18-20 pounds, with the girls being a little smaller. These pups are all fabulous and amazing and we can’t wait to see them shred powder with you on the slopes! Ski on!      Heavenly (F): Heavenly is ready to bring rays of sunshine and days of powder to her forever people! Unlike her boisterous siblings, Heavenly is most commonly found curled up with her humans as they chill on the couch. She does love to play, but she’s more likely to sniff around the yard and find sticks than get in the middle of a wrestling match. Like a baby, she plays peek-a-boo which is absolutely delightful. Heavenly loves rolling over and placing a tiny paw on your arm as you scratch behind her ears. She learned quickly that her puppy dog eyes and model poses can get her just about anything her heart desires, and she uses that power to get all the snuggles and treats! Ready to tackle all the black diamonds? Bring Heavenly and she will bless your ride!  Tahoe (M): Tahoe is an outgoing and loving gentleman who steals the spotlight wherever he goes! Tahoe loves giving kisses and rolls onto his back like a rolly polly whenever he thinks it’s time for more belly rubs (which is always). The only thing our boy loves more than snacks… is his people! Tahoe loves trotting behind his humans, tumbling over his adorable paws as he scrambles to keep up with the action. Tahoe has tons of puppy energy and loves to play, especially with stuffed toys and sticks he finds. Once our boy has gotten all his energy out, he is ready for a well-deserved snooze in your lap. We know that Tahoe would be the talk of any ski trip, as he tries to set a world record for fastest snowflake catching!  Vail (F): Vail is a cuddlebug who is excited to meet her cozy apres ski family. Vail loves giving puppy kisses whenever she sees you, especially when she can curl up under a blanket with you on these snowy winter days. Vail adores her canine companions and would be a fabulous addition to a home with a resident dog, but she could also fly solo! Vail thinks she is very feisty, growling adorably at her pile of toys as she launches herself onto them. We let her think that she’s the boss of the house because it’s impossible to say no to her puppy dog eyes! Vail will be the absolute best addition to her forever home and she can’t wait to make a lifetime of memories with you, from the slopes to the shore and everything in between!  Whistler (M): Whistler is a sweet boy who leads the pack in their daily adventures. Whistler is a fearless little man who explores new slopes with a spirit of adventure and an eye for activity. Whistler is super affectionate and loves being in your lap, in your arms, or basically wherever you are! This chunky little dude will just fling himself right into your lap and adorably demand all the cuddles he can possibly get. Truly, Whistler is just about the perfect puppy with his temperament and adorable little face. We know that whether he hits the slopes or the couch, he will make your life fabulous! Come and bring Whistler on your next trip to the slopes and let him fly!      The Ski puppies wake up around 7 AM and get served breakfast as their pen is cleaned out. Once they finish eating, they are herded outside for potty and playtime. During the day, they cycle between playing with toys, cuddling with their foster humans, getting their zoomies out, and napping in an adorable pile. They eat again at 12 PM and 5 PM. In the evening, the pups get some one-on-one snuggle time with their foster humans as they start to unwind from the day. They go out for one last potty practice and then trot into their pen for the night by 10 PM.  The Ski puppies have been well socialized with dogs of all ages and sizes since they came into rescue. They love meeting new humans, young and old, and are the talk of every gathering. Interested homes should be prepared to discuss plans for continued training and socialization. The pups are all super food motivated so training should be a breeze! If you’re ready to grab a day pass for adventure, pick up a Ski puppy today!      The Ski puppies are only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last 5 years. Kids should be over the age of 5.January 3, 2025, 7:57 pm

Story
Abby is a fun-loving, sweet, and playful dog who greets each day with a giant smile! She is a very good girl who has been treated well by her prior family. She's house trained, quiet, friendly, excitable, and overall an easy-peasy girl. Plus, she snores!! Abby is good with other dogs and will try to play with them. She had been missing out on her walks so is happy to get back into the swing of things! She's 9-years-old and weighs 35 lbs (needs to lose a little chunkage!). Abby is a wonderful dog who will do well in almost any home, as long as there are adventures, cozy movie nights, soft beds, and lots of love!!
