Story
This sweet girl, estimated to be about 2 years old and weighing in at 20 pounds, has had a rough start to life, but she’s ready to turn the page and find her forever home. When she first came to us as a stray, she was in pain from a full vaginal prolapse that had likely troubled her for quite some time. Thankfully, she received treatment, and now she’s healed, healthy, and ready to enjoy life to the fullest! While we don’t know all the details of her past, it’s clear she hasn’t always had the easiest time with humans. Cantaloupe can be a little shy and anxious around new people, but once she realizes she’s safe, she shows just how loving and loyal she can be. She’s looking for a patient, gentle owner who will give her the space to decompress and shower her with the affection she’s been missing. At only two years old, Cantaloupe has her whole life ahead of her, and she’s ready to make it full of play, cuddles, and adventures. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, enjoys playtime and socializing, and is happiest when she can join in the fun. With her human friends, she just needs a little time to warm up, but once she trusts you, you’ll have a devoted new BFF who loves to snuggle and hang out by your side.Cantaloupe would thrive in a quiet, loving home where she can feel safe and cherished. She’s sweet, resilient, and ready to bloom into the happy, carefree, spunky girl she was always meant to be. Could your home be the place where Cantaloupe finally feels safe, loved, and at peace? Story
Paso's journey hasn't been easy, but he's a resilient dog with a heart full of untapped potential. Found as a stray and brought to a shelter, Paso faced several challenges, including seizures and reactivity towards shelter staff.Recognizing Paso's need for specialized care, the shelter reached out to us. While he was initially reactive with us too, after being with us for nearly two years now and with plenty of time to decompress and adapt, Paso has become a staff favorite! While he still has some anxiety about meeting new people, given time and patience, he warms up beautifully.Paso's seizure disorder is managed with medication, though he experiences occasional break-through seizures which is normal for his condition. An MRI confirmed he has idiopathic epilepsy, so he will need lifelong medication. His future adopter should be prepared to maintain a close relationship with their vet.Paso's journey has left him with some emotional scars, including a bite history. He needs a patient and understanding person to help him heal and build trust. Due to his history of reactivity, Paso cannot be placed in a home with children.Paso is social and does well with other dogs, especially puppies. He loves showing them how to play and cuddle. Paso is very food motivated and eagerly anticipates mealtime, singing and jumping in excitement. He's also a treat sleuth, so keep an eye on your stash! While Paso's journey has been difficult, he is worth every ounce of effort. With your love, patience, and dedication, Paso can bloom into the loving, faithful companion he's meant to be. If you are that special person willing to give Paso the second chance he deserves, please inquire today!

Story
Say hello to Candy Cane! Yes, we know it’s not the holiday season, but the name stuck because this guy really is just that sweet. Candy Cane is about 5 years old and weighs around 23 pounds. He came to us after his owner moved, and the transition didn’t go well for him, he’s a sensitive little guy who takes change hard. His previous home mentioned he wasn’t great with young kids under 5. We weren’t given much detail on what that meant, but since he’s been with us, he’s been nothing but calm, gentle, and easy to be around. Still, we think he’d do best in a quieter home with older kids who understand dogs like him like mellow, peaceful environments, not chaos.Candy Cane lived with a cat previously and did great with it, and he gets along really well with other dogs too. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly and really enjoys attention once he feels safe. He’s easy to walk, takes his time, and loves exploring his surroundings at his own pace. What makes Candy Cane special is how steady and loving he is once he opens up. He wants to be close to his people, whether that means curling up at your feet or quietly following you around the house. He’s not needy, just loyal. If you’re looking for a laid-back dog who’s already past the puppy stage and just wants a peaceful life, Candy Cane might be exactly who you’ve been waiting for! Interested in this special dude? Please inquire today!

Story
This lanky 22 pound sweetheart is estimated to be around 4 years old, and he’s already had quite the journey. Markie was found wandering the streets all alone and it was clear life hadn’t been very gentle with him. When he first arrived, his skin was in rough shape from flea allergies and he had lost a lot of fur. He also had a severely damaged, bulging eye that had no vision and caused him discomfort. But here’s the good news! Markie is a fighter, and he’s come a long way. His bad eye has been removed, his skin has healed, and his fur is growing back soft, shiny, and absolutely beautiful. He has taken every change in stride and adjusted to his new one-eyed life like a total champ. You truly would never guess how much he’s been through based on how well he's doing today.Markie has spent some time with us while getting all of his medical needs addressed, and now he’s feeling better than ever and ready for his forever home. Honestly the only thing he’s missing is someone to love! Personality-wise Markie is the full package. He’s tall, handsome, and has a huge heart to match. He’s social, friendly, playful, and loves meeting new people. He does well with other dogs and really thrives when he gets to be part of the action. He’s got a silly side, a sweet side, and a spirited side all wrapped up in one adorable, slightly lopsided, extremely lovable dog.Markie would do best in a semi-active or active home with someone who wants a companion to join them on life’s adventures. Walks, hikes, outings, or just exploring the neighborhood - he’s in! He’s ready to soak up every ounce of love and consistency he missed out on before. After everything he has endured, Markie is more than ready to settle into a home where he will finally be cherished. He’s special, he’s resilient, and he’s so deserving of a family who will see just how amazing he is. Interested in giving Markie the happy ending he’s waited for? Please inquire today!

Story
This little guy is sweet in the truest sense of the word! Newman is estimated to be about 6 years old and weighs 21 pounds, and somehow manages to be both a cuddly couch buddy and a little burst of sunshine all at once.Newman was originally found as a stray, and when no owner could be located, he made his way to us. From the moment he arrived, he’s been nothing short of a dream. He adjusted quickly, made himself at home, and has been charming absolutely everyone he meets.Let’s talk about cuddling, because Newman takes it very seriously. He will wedge himself right up against you even if there’s hardly any room, sigh contently, and act like he’s been waiting his whole life for that exact moment. If you’re looking for a dog who loves love, this is your guy. He’s fantastic on walks, friendly with other dogs, and warm and welcoming with new people. Newman may be 6, but don’t tell him that - he’s bouncy, playful, and has the youthful spark of a dog several years younger. And once he decides he likes you? Congratulations, you have a friend for life. Give him one or two treats and he’ll remember you forever, scanning the yard or room for his next chance to hang out with you.Newman would thrive in a home where his people aren’t gone all day, because his favorite thing in the world is… well… you. He would be a wonderful match for someone active who wants a little adventure buddy right by their side, whether that’s neighborhood walks, weekend outings, or just running errands together.Newman is loving, loyal, silly in the best way, and ready for a fresh chapter with someone who will adore him as much as he adores them.
