PENDING AS OF 10/9/2024: Meet Basco! DOB 1/16/2024 This cutie is an INCREDIBLY SMART PUPPY! He already knows how to use the doggy door and gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes and ages, cats, and kids. He’s mastered the “Sit” command and is neutered, microchipped with AKC, dewormed, and vaccinated. Basco is housetrained; he was doing great with potty pad training, but his foster mom has now taught him to go outside, so he no longer needs the pads. He enjoys eating wet canned food and kibble, and he loves being held and showered with affection. Basco plays happily with his foster siblings and the pets next door, and it doesn’t matter the age, size, or breed—he adapts his play style to match the energy of other dogs. He’s an all-around fantastic little dog who is very smart and easily trainable. Basco also does well on a leash! Don’t miss out on this wonderful companion! Manny is quite adorable, with a fun loving personality. Manny may have resting sad face, but he is always happy. He loves sleeping on the soft dog beds next to the big people beds. Lately he has found his way on the big bed, he thinks he is quite clever. He will follow you from room to room, making sure you are not doing anything fun without him. Manny in kind of a clown. He will jump up on the couch next to you and just stare at you as close as he can, to see if you will play with him, then just lay down. He loves to play chase, that is his favorite game. He will play with toys, he will chase a ball if you throw it, but has not quite figured out to bring it back so it is more a game of your fetching. Manny also thinks you are his toys, and he will play with your hands. Manny thinks he is a big puppy. Manny has a great personality if you let him settle in. Rocky is a sweet, affectionate, and devoted dog who wants nothing more than to be in the same room as his human. Where ever you go, he will follow. That's how much he attaches to you. He has a very sweet way of sitting, gazing into your eyes, and giving you his paw to let you know he'd like some attention and affection. You'll melt when he looks into your eyes with devotion. He get's very wiggly and excited to see you when you come home from work. You will feel so loved by him. Rocky loves sun bathing in the backyard and he gets oh so adorably excited when he thinks it's time for a car ride. The destination doesn't matter. It's the ride itself he longs for. He's always up for a ride. Like most bulldogs, he's not much of a walker. He prefers to take long naps throughout the day. If he doesn't want to continue walking, he will become stubborn. He's very food motivated, so training him is relatively easy. He still needs to work on "wait." Rocky loves the attention of humans. He doesn't care too much for the attention or company of other dogs. Rocky doesn't like it when i give my other dog attention and will attack. He will do best as the only dog in the home. He's not been in the company of cats, so that's TBD. He is very cooperative to bathe. He gets high marks from the groomers. But if you'd like to bathe him yourself, he'll be more than happy to comply. He's accustomed to sleeping in a crate at night, and is happy to have his own little space. But he does perfectly well sleeping on the floor without a crate. Medical: He gets a Cytopoint injection every 4-6 weeks to curb itching, irritated skin. I've tried all sorts of different dog foods, even hydrolyzed protein to eliminate the skin issues, but to no avail. His ears need frequent cleaning. December 15, 2024, 7:45 pm
